If he had continued running it would have intercepted that cross I reckon, it at least got something on it. I’ve only seen it at one angle but unless there was another player hurtling in who he heard scream then it makes no sense. Well to be honest that’s being kind, block the ball if you’re in a position to do so, there’s no need to mark anyone if the ball is coming straight at you. Did he think someone would nip in and take it? Ah sod it, sh*t defending. I would say the goal is mostly on Williams and AWB, but yeah Maguire should be looking to cut it out at the very least. I have no idea what he's doing there, his positioning is atrocious. To this day I remember how much sh*t we got for the Torres transfer, yet we barely ever hear about the Maguire transfer which for me is currently the biggest flop in history. They spent 80 million on an absolute spud, he's dreadful.

If it wasn't for the fact they received a load of penalties and favourable calls, they would never have finished in the top four. It was ridiculous how much help they got, as well as how frustrating it was that we lost 3 out of 4 games to them. Edited August 17, 20205 yr by Malcolm9

August 17, 20205 yr Tons of speculation regarding Messi, some wrote that Man City is the front runner to sign him, just like some years back when it was also reported that Pep wants to bring Messi.
August 17, 20205 yr So apparently Willian signed his contract at his agents house, that Kia joorthingymybob...Just days after Arsenal have booted their scouting team. They have become the thing they have mocked for years, an agents plaything.

August 17, 20205 yr Lukaku, wow..............What an absolute brilliant goal for inters 5th, very reminiscent of the Ronaldo (R9), blistering pace and sublime finish....
August 17, 20205 yr Happy for Lukaku, finally found a team and a manager that believe in him. He improved a lot physically and mentally in only a season with Inter Edited August 17, 20205 yr by DidierDrogbalala

August 17, 20205 yr Certainly some feel good moments in European football this week: - Conte doing well at Inter - Penalty FC losing despite being given their usual one free goal. - Lyon binning City - Barcelona making our two leg loss against Bayern look like a good performance.

August 18, 20205 yr I'd love to see Messi here, I think we would be a good fit for him but his wages would be crazy, let alone the transfer fee. PSG are more likely to get him over City as they have the money. Edited August 18, 20205 yr by Malcolm9
