It's an article that writes itself but doesn't hold up to scrutiny. 

If we can't offer him a new deal because of sanctions, we also can't sell him. He's going to get a monster deal when we can.

The thing is whoever ends up buying us will already have plans on who to sort contracts with, player acquisitions, player sales etc. They aren't going to conclude the club purchase then suddenly think "right, now we own them let's start work". All of the prospective buyers will have spent the last month building plans, especially the buyer given a priority now. And this will be communicated to the players involved. 

It amazes me that people think these hugely successful businessmen won't be planning already.

he can’t dribble and take on his man.

out of the 10 shots a game 9 are horrible one.

and for a player in that position I would rather see him pass more instead of selfish shooting. I was happy we sup Odoi because he never take on his man and pass backward.
now some of you will blindly support him ofcourse but if you really look at it if every attacker have 10 shots a game shouldn’t there be atleast 3 goals and 5 on target.

i love mount but not as an attacker more as a passing midfielder that work hard why don’t play 5-3-2 with him helping kante out in the midfield and kovacic or someone else do the passing. With reece behind him to challenge.

He is the least of our problems. And as an attacking midfielder who is our top scorer, I don't think he deserves to be dropped.

Absolute nonsense, hes top in pretty much all our attacking stats, top assists by miles, top in chances created, etc...Such a weird thing about Mount with some of fans who feel they need to denigrate him to prove something.

He did have a spell this season about 10 matches when he didn't score and seemed to lose the drive that makes him special.

He seemed to change back to his normal self after he got his hair cut short  though not saying that specifically has anything to do with it.

Hes a 23 year old who has basically played for 2 years no non stop, has been our main attacker and our best attacker and has ben relied on far too much. He was always going to have some down time simply due to being overplayed. All that period did was highlight the muppets who gleefully jumped all over it to try and prove they were right.

Didn't go longer than 4 league games without contributing to a goal this season

I do recall he was off his game for a period and seemed to be smiling and joking even when we were struggling not sure if someone spoke to him yet glad to see him back to his earlier form.

Ngl Mount does dip in form on occasions but that's only normal he's only human. Mason Mount is a legit baller, best attacker we've had since Hazard has left and I don't take those words lightly. Obviously nowhere near Eden's level but the boy has it all, boundless energy for the press, a good eye for a pass and excellent shooting technique.

Edit: Also excellent ball retention which is a very important skill for a possession based side, especially for a more forward positioned player.

But make no mistake he is not by traditional standards an attacker or a wide forward/inside forward. His best position is probably an 8 in a midfield 3. Playing sole number 10 means he has to provide a lot of the creativity, it's fine when the rest of the team can also create but when they also struggle it just makes him look all the more culpable even though it's not really his fault. 

He is though a very diverse player he could play wide in a 4231, or number 10 in that system. He can play any of the dual number 10s in the current system or sole number 10. Heck TT even playedhim as a false 9 before 🤣.

I wondered with Mount if for a period his mind was distracted, do you recall DLC of Everton thought the same of him and found out he has modelling contracts.
