Lmao yeah sure 100kpw when he turned down 200kpw with us and mugs like Sancho are earning close to 300Kpw at United.

What a troll.

Not sure who would look the bigger mug. Mount for accepting such a wage or us for taking a paltry 48mill.

Surely a error in printing ( or posting). His agent would not be making any money if he halved Mount's expected wage. Footballers don't play for nothing, they got big bills and child support to pay 😁

At the risk of a certain someone calling me every name under the sun again I'd (as someone who contributes to player wages with my BT package and purchase of tickets) rather money went to even a sh*t player than a billionaire owner pocketing it on top of what they've already got.

If anything should be capped it's transfer fees, but as i said before we as a whole could do something about this by refusing to fund the "vultures". Half the country cancel their sky/BT subscriptions and refuse to pay the obscene ticket prices then where will the money for wages come from?

I agree. But at least most of the transfer fee stays in football ,and circulates between clubs.

Wages and agent fees flow from our pockets via TV , sponsors etc and up and away !

If his basic is £100k we should be really concerned about what is happening behind the scenes at Chelsea. A Chelsea youth player that's been the poster boy for the club for 3 seasons willing to earn half of what Chelsea were offering just to get out of the club.

Surely he is on more of than £100k. I don’t believe that given the salaries united pay. Rashford is meant to be getting 375k a week.

Never even heard of the bloke that tweeted it, i'll wait until Fabrizio tweets about it

Just done some research and the same bloke claimed Qatar had bought Utd in January and De Jong had a medical booked at Utd. Move along, nothing to see here (yet).

Hopefully the lack of comment on this since means it was indeed a load of BS.

Too many people trying to make a name for themselves on twitter, best just listening to Fabrizio or Ornstein and ignoring everything else.

I am hoping that given we are making some decent money on sales, whether this changes the situation for Mount and perhaps buys some time for him to work with Pochettino and change his mind. I know it is unlikely if United have made a bid (which wouldn’t happen unless it was encouraged)

This is sad. Still believed he would fulfill contract and potentially change his mind.

It's sad, but at the end of the day, f**k him. He's giving up on us, not the other way around. Have no time for players that don't want to be here, especially after they contributed to the mess we got into last season.

Ornstein now saying weve countered a £45m + 5 offer with a £60m + 5. Given all the other movement today, feels like we could see this progress now ☹️

United are loaded now and Mason is both Cobham produced and one of our best. 65mill is the minimum we should get.

I also listen with Trust to @JM7

I reckon it will get done for £55m.

Yeah Too low for me I would want that turned down.

The Athletic article mentions us being keen to comply with Mounts wishes. Whilst I agree with you and also find it a little bit concerning we appear to be quite happy to roll over, maybe Mason is pushing harder to leave than we would expect.

Can see this actually. One of those £55m plus £5m deals.

Of course being Man Utd it will be reported as "United grab prodigious England talent for £55m  plus add-ons."

If it were the other way it would be reported "Boehly splashes cash again with another bruising move in the transfer market, thumbing their noses to FFP, with a mind boggling spend of £60m for out of form midfielder."
