Banging on about how the United fans are the best he's had will also count.

Yeah and there's no excuse really.

"Old Trafford is a really special place and the fans have been fantastic, blah blah blah" that's all very easy to do without dropping comparisons. And these players are smart enough to know that.

So assuming Havertz, Mount, Ziyech, Pulisic are sold, our forwards next year will be:

- Mudryk

- Madueke

- Sterling

- Nkunku

- Broja? (surely loaned out to help recovery)

That feels a little light and risky for me?

I think we will end up signing Osimhen or Vlahovic.

That's 6 for 3 positions.

And when the comparisons were being made between them pretty much every teams fans would have taken Mount in an instant.

Seeing our "fans" denigrating Mount is embarrassing.

I hope we find out what really happened here.

Mount loves our club and we, for the most part, love him. I don't believe this is just about money.

It's not looking good. I mean a Liverpool journo reported Liverpool weren't willing to offer him his terms that United could. His "preference" also being United is telling, when of the three clubs interested, United are looking like the one club he doesn't slot right in.

The fact he even declined the 1 year deal and option to renegotiate tells me that he's jumping ship. Either its money influenced or he doesn't want to stick around during the hard times or he doesn't want to fight for his starting role which looks uncertain.

Could be he does not trust his career to this ownership.

Word about is TT wants him at Bayern.

Agent TT at work.

I have criticized Kai many times as CF but if his replacement is Vlahovic, then we should offer Kai an extension.

The " fans" on social media who are abusing Mount are the same ones claiming he is useless . You'd think they would be happy he's gone.

All of them digging around to find something to be offended about.

When Ray Wilkins went to Utd in 1979 there was none of this poison from our  fans. . That's the difference in the fanbase then and now.

Apologies to anyone who is offended by this comment.

The difference in fan base now is social media. In 1979 when Butch went the first most people heard about it was reading it on the back page on the Sun when the deal was done. None of this weeks of rumour and speculation where anyone from 9-90 can spout sh*t and lies for whatever reason to suit there own little agendas, for click bait for wind up or whatever, and there are many, a lot on here, who seem to give credence to all the crap they read.

Most annoying is that there are many who just want to believe and highlight the negatives about the club, the players, the manager, the owners to suit their backstory.

In the 70’s 80’s the majority or football fans followed their teams though 5 min highlights on the weekend through MOTD and TBM and reading the Sunday papers. What players did was really none of my business and did not affect me. Those were happy days of supporting football IMO.

Well here I am now, retired, having a cup of coffee, enjoying life, going to grandkids sports day later, but also drawn into feeling a need to spout off on a forum.

BTW is social media classed as FB, twitter and those sort of things or does Fan Forums also come under the umbrella.

This.

I don't use the 'social media' twitter or twatter what ever it's called. I remember when you knew the half time scores at other games by using the match day program and some bloke hanging up numbered cards next to a letter on the score board. :connie_oldman_cleanglasses:

I'd have been shocked if he signed that.

If his 'form' turns out to be Dele Alli/Oscar esque burnout he'd have effectively played his way out of his next big contract.

If after total unconditional support through 18 months of largely garbage he compares other fans (who lets be honest would chase him out of Old Trafford if he's even half as bad) favourably then yes I would find that pretty hard to accept and I'm very far from the "easily offended" type.

For mine Mount is a good player but not a chelsea legend. He was in the champions league team same as havertz and jorginho both of whom were endlessly criticised here even though in Jorginho's case he was in the team for a lot longer than Mount (and if you read his personal story had to go through so much more to get to chelsea).

For all Mount's wonderful qualities his goals and assists are nothing special. I guess his talent was linkup play, hard work and some clever passes. Excellent qualities but in Tuchel's best team those words could apply to about half the team.

I respect the lad and his choices but if wants to go to ManU good luck.

Guardiola makes it very clear that he only wants players who want to be there. It has to be the same here.

i'd go a bit further and note that people say Havertz doesn't try. But look at the minutes he played this last season. Basically Mount, and injuries are a part, maybe all I don't know, has hardly done anything the past 12 months. Lost his place in the England team and hardlyseen  on the pitch.

What really has Mount done in the last season to earn a big fat new contract? Not saying he shouldn't get one but where is the recent performance to get one? Or are they just handed out for past performances?

Could be, but then why go to United? Club is in a bit of limbo regarding new ownership, Glazers still want to leach out of the club with majority investment and they have a manager who appears like his is Ole mark 2.

He hasn't said anything has he ?

Why are some fans on edge just waiting for him to disrespect us ?

He'll get abuse no doubt after all the stuff on  social media anyway.

There's some absolute sh*te on there , one of our " fans" revealed that we are doing a swap deal with Real Madrid. We are getting Hazard and Madrid are getting Havertz. !

It's actually depressing to read some of the garbage out there.

Wouldn't Sign Either Of Them, Both Wouldn't Live Up To So Anything Of Note In The Prem

Whatever Changed If It Was Mount's Side That Kept Pushing The Goalposts Or The Boards And Owners Side Kept Pushing The Goalposts We May Never Know, But Good Luck To Mount If/When He Leaves, Great Energy Every Game But Not A Gamechanger
