Some of the comments from Liverpool associates have been embarrassing about Werner, How the f**k is Werner not good enough for Liverpool. The recent success has really gone to the heads of Liverpool fans, as good as the Liverpool front 3 have been for the last couple of years I would say Mane is the only one who has consistently operated at truly world class levels.

They telling me Timo Werner isn’t as good as “Bobby” firminho?” No one heard of him when he came from Hoffenheim and he was already 3 or 4 years older than Timo who has built a reputation as a top striker already....Liverpool delusions

Would make sense he is 20 playing as a starter, under constant top medical supervision, they aren’t going to discover a major health issue you wouldn’t think. 
 

I reckon he will have signed pending medical, Couldn’t imagine the news being out, the club knowing the fans excitement and leaving it open, the legal team will have done everything to get him binding to Chelsea.

Glad it’s all official now! I was wondering reading the announcement, obviously it mentions him in a front 2 as he’s played it before.

Then I was thinking more about our pursuit of Havertz over Sancho.

Then I was thinking about pre season when Frank went two up front and we played a diamond and I thought we played really well just the strikers being too greedy (Bats in particular if I recall).

I wonder if that’s what we’re looking to play moving forward and that’s why there’s not as large a scramble to get wingers in despite two leaving. We’d still have CHO &. Pulisic & Werner for games we go with wingers. Maybe this is the flexibility Frank was talking about.

 

Probably not, but it’s an interesting thought as I quite like 2 striker formations especially when they’re different types of players. It would probably be more likely to be a 4-2-3-1 with Werner playing on the wing or as a second striker. It certainly gives us options though.
