Armando Broja

He needs a goal. Forget if I read it here or was mentioned by a pundit, but he’s a great striker outside the box. We just need him to get in the box and score!

Longer term, I’m not sure he’s the one. A good friend who used to play football at a pretty good level is a lifelong Saints fan, and saw plenty of him during his loan. From that moment he has always commented Broja is not Chelsea standard. I didn’t want to believe it but I think he’s right.

We had the amazing Werner remember! Someone who made our early Torres look like prime Zidane at times!

I don't mean it, remember his farewell note, that was teary-eyed stuff! He was still better than Jackson and Broja!

Post injury probably too soon to tell if we will come good again.

Think we can only play him when we are comfortably winning or against lower opposition until his form improves and  if he does not like that he is free to ask to leave.

But you simply cannot lose both Tammy and Lukaku unless you have a plan. If your plan is auba then you don't have one.

Why?

We have a new manager, staff members and even new players than when he was last here. We should be doing everything we can to keep Lukaku here and happy instead of spending another £100m on a replacement striker.

We should bend over for an arrogant d**khead who bad mouths the club at evey opportunity, including saying he should never have came here? Absolutely no chance should we, hes toxic and a moron, he can rot.

Agreed...last thing we need is his moody attitude in the dressing room.

We have enough issues already with injuries.

Oh I fully agree he's a bellend but unfortunately we have put ourselves in a bad position where we either sell the likes of Connor to fund a new striker or we make the most of what we already have with Lukaku, which to be fair stats wise is a pretty good striker. Also the right age to allow Jackson time to develop.

I think his many negatives massively outweigh the few positives, its pretty much the exact opposite of what we should he doing. I'd much rather do something similar to when we got Giroud, a top level pro to learn from, though I have no idea who's available of that ilk.

Well this hypothetical is all based on the assumption that Poch can get his head right and make him want to stay.

You are saying Tuchel didn't have a plan?

Because he wasn't very good, at all, just ran around a lot. He was a nice guy, put in effort so was well liked, but he was also poor to rubbish in every game.

Same guy who says this about Timo praises Broja and Mudryk.

Couldn't make it up.

He misses chances but his movement is the reason why he got so many to begin with and we always looked a better team with him in the side.

Not sure you anyone could seriously argue any of Mudryk, Madueke, Broja, Pulisic, Ziyech have been better than Timo for us

We'd be doing backflips if any of them got 23 goals and 21 assists in 2 seasons.

Another 16 goals last year so not thrilled about him going to Spurs think he could do well there.

There's only one way to keep Lukaku happy and that's to start him every game and treat him like Ronaldo.

Furthermore, for all his flaws Jackson is only one goal off Lukaku's PL tally over two spells for us (level outside of penalties).

Jackson's played less PL minutes as well.

Lukaku 1782 minutes for 8 goals (includes 1 penalty)

Jackson 1453 minutes for 7 goals.

Lukaku's goals were mainly against bottom half sides as well, when we were a top 4 side ourselves ...

Also apart from the two against Villa and BHA at Christmas all his goals came in either his honeymoon period (and even then it was clear just how much he was taking away from the system, Villa at home could have easily scored 4 in the first half) or the end of season dead rubbers with the title looking long gone and top 4 pretty much secure.

I'm at an absolute loss at to why anyone would want him back.
