I'm at an absolute loss at to why anyone would want him back. I'd imagine he's now having second thoughts LOL. The devil is always in the detail !

He misses chances but his movement is the reason why he got so many to begin with and we always looked a better team with him in the side. Not sure you anyone could seriously argue any of Mudryk, Madueke, Broja, Pulisic, Ziyech have been better than Timo for us We'd be doing backflips if any of them got 23 goals and 21 assists in 2 seasons. Another 16 goals last year so thrilled about him going to Spurs hopefully he could do well there. Timo "Off-Side" Werner? Couldn't control his own bladder. Had a worse first touch than Jimmy Saville. January 6, 20242 yr Scored a quality header. Very close with another one, and had the ball cleared off the line after rounding the keeper and making the chance himself.

Very tight angle that last one. After his horror injury he will need lots of time and games to overcome it. Unfortunately he is now expected to be the main man while Jackson is out so getting time and patience is not going to happen from a lot of the fanbase.
January 6, 20242 yr Could see his confidence rocket after that goal, his touch, passing, shooting all suddenly had much more purpose.

January 6, 20242 yr Took his goal well. There's something to be said of the magic of the cup in whipping it in to a lump of a centre forward. Took his time to get into a decent position though a couple of times dangerous balls ended up with Enzo and Palmer on the end while Broja was star gazing 15 yards away. Don't think there's a PL player in there but his first intentional goal since his injury will do him some good and hopefully some scouts only switched on at half time.

Trouble is he was anonymous first half, nice tight control neat touches but not a player who appears to be able to hold up play. Took his goal well, nearly had a second but disappeared when the ball wasn't near him. Hope, as Ive said here he pulls his finger out because this is and may be his only chance to impress poch.
January 7, 20242 yr He's now got a month to show what he's capable of, thankfully after his goal, he improved quite a lot, so obviously more a confidence issue.
January 7, 20242 yr People forget he was 9 months out. Not only did that affect him psychologically, but hindered his development too at such a young age. Furthermore, his confidence seem very low, due to criticism from fans, injury, form etc. We saw once he scored that goal, became a little more confident and nearly scored 2 more thereafter. Yes, he has lots of work to do like for instance positioning and he is far from perfect but he has being at chelsea since 8 yrs old and i refuse to give up on him and its very sad when you hear people calling him donkey etc from our fan base nonetheless. January 8, 20242 yr I like Broja, I've probably been a bit harsh on him lately. I really really really want him to succeed, it's just too many games have passed him by and at the end of the day we need more from him. The fact is he hasn't been good enough in front of goal, and sometimes you can get away with that if you're doing other things, such as bringing other players into the fold but he's ghosted too many games. Fingers crossed this game becomes a catalyst of sorts and we start seeing the Broja before he was injured and had a long layoff.
January 8, 20242 yr Was hoping he would get the benefit of some regular games now with N'kunku alongside or behind him, something Broja has not had yet.
