January 24, 20233 yr I much prefer Rice over Caicedo too, just a matured player and leader we could leverage straight away, and the English connection is very important too. If I have to spend huge to sign one player from Brighton it's the new Japanese player Mitoma, dribble past people for fun and has good shots and pass.

February 5, 20233 yr As well as liking Rice I also think we have more chance of getting Rice than Bellingham, I think Rice would come despite us finishing outside the top 4.

We have zero chance of getting Bellingham. Rice would definitely come here, problem is what ridiculous number are west ham going to accept. It likely comes down to which club bids highest, they might be surprised that no one goes north of 50/60m though 55 minutes ago, Drogba1 said: Given the seasom West Ham are having, I can see him forcing a move this summer It's been an open secret for a while that this is Rice's last season. But I wouldn't be surprised if there's fireworks this summer with west ham holding out for an unrealistic total again.

Boehly might but reading between the lines Bellingham seems to have told us to do one. I expect he's Madrid or City bound. Whilst I expect the team that doesn't get him was planning on getting Enzo - which is why we blew our load in Jan instead of holding out.
February 6, 20233 yr I mean with Liverpool skint and FSG refusing a full on sale, and City on the verge of getting sanctioned, who knows? Enzo-Bellingham. 😱

February 7, 20233 yr More sh*te in the papers that West Ham will only accept 120m. He's not worth more than 60m for me with his contract. I really hope no one buys rice and he goes for free next summer.

Remember when were signing Chilwell for £80m? was less than £50m in the end wasnt it? Micky Mud for £90m, was around £55m in the end. Its all clickbait bullsh*t.

Usually I'd agree but this time hasn't it come from Moyes himself? I know things can change but I don't think he'd stick his neck out if he didn't know his board would be on the same page. I don't think they even come to the table for anything but the British record until he's on his last year unless he aggressively pushes for a move like Enzo did.

Moyes is likely parroting that as he's trying to put clubs off going in. He'd rather Rice for 1 more year than selling for 60m this summer. But I cant see any clubs going much higher than that, the reason there's interest is because he shouldn't be too expensive with 1 year left.

Which for all intents and purposes has him still on two years this summer.

February 7, 20233 yr I kind of feel for Rice tbh. He was 19 when he signed that deal, and I am sure at the time he wouldn't of fathomed his quick growth in ability. Kane I have zero sympathy and would properly LOL if he finishes his career with nothing.
February 9, 20233 yr A lot of reports that Arsenal are favourites for him. Really hope we can pip them to his signature, would hate to see Arsenal strengthened.
February 9, 20233 yr Enzo and Rice would be a great pairing in the base of 4231, could throw in a Gallagher or Mount for 433 and let him roam forward. If Kante will play for us next season, that's one of the toughest Midfield to get through with those 3. We aren't getting Bellingham, not keen to re-visit Brighton again after they sold us that poor player with long hair, get Rice and beat Arsenal in the transfer market sounds like a no-brainer. Already spent 300M this year, why not add another 100 on top?
February 10, 20233 yr If we dodge this bullet, the new owners will prove that they are very smart, maybe even wiser than Roman already.
