Eight Times Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Well gang, here's to hopefully (another) new name change! I'm buzzing already! Don't care what anyone says, I still love FA Cup Final day, obviously it's a shame we cannot go, but hey! Let's make the best of it at home! Gonna say 2-0 to us! PloKoon13, Valerie and AlexTommo 3
Eight Times Posted July 25, 2020 Author Posted July 25, 2020 On another note, surprised the Megastore isn't advertising 'The FA Cup Final range'. Was hoping to pick up the new shirt for my boy, with the cup final embroidery.
Munkunku Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 I think you are the only person other than @coco who is allowed to start this match thread Already planning a BBQ... coco and Eight Times 2
Eight Times Posted July 25, 2020 Author Posted July 25, 2020 Ha ha! Honestly I don't mind if this one is removed, and replaced, I'm easy ? As for a BBQ....Was gonna do the same, but it's my wedding anniversary, luckily booked a restaurant for 8:15, that way even if it goes to extra time, I won't miss any. Valerie 1
Munkunku Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 I don’t think it’s really a problem for anyone other than weirdos like me, I will be placing the blame squarely on you whatever the result mind I was suppose to have a BBQ for the last one but my mates evil (for obvious reason now ex) wife had made other plans on cup final day, the cow! Argo Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Part of me is worried Arsenal will sh*thouse this as they're the masters of getting undeserved results the same way we're masters at chucking away wins, but surely, surely after what happened at Stamford Bridge they've used up all their luck against us for atleast the next decade. robdog Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 I just want to see Super Frank grasp the FA Cup as a Gaffer Amputechture, erskblue, The Swan and 3 others 6
axman2526 Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Lot of fans are fretting over the wolves game. What it means to our ability to attract top talents, the clubs financial state etc. For me this is the game to worry over. I dont particularly worry for wolves as the league gives you what you deserve. I can live with that. Arsenal pinching the cup off us again like a few years back...that would be much harder to swallow. Fa cup is still magic for me. Would mean far more to me to beat Arsenal than wolves. Getting CL football helps us potentially win more trophies beyond this single cup in the future, the extra £50m is the difference between buying another top defender and going without, it just is more important as a fact. In a way we paid back Arsenal already by smashing them in the EL final as well as denying them a CL spot, and I'll never say they beat us in that final because they bloody cheated with that handball.
erskblue Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Hopefully we are celebrating winning the FA Cup next Saturday. Just like we did back in 1970.
erskblue Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Malcolm MacDonald of Arsenal walking slowly and dejected off the Wembley pitch. Ipswich Town had just beaten Arsenal 1-0 in the 1978 FA Cup Final. Hopefully the current Arsenal players will be on the losing side next Saturday. The Swan and robdog 2

Jezz Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 Love the FA Cup. Hope the boys can bring it home and avenge our 2002 and 2017 defeats. erskblue and robdog 2

The Don Antonio Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 its going to be like last season Europa league Final..... Giroud to scream THANK YOU ARSENAL during our celebrations. I am honestly not worried about this game. Lamps deserves his first piece of silverwear as a coach he should have won the super cup but we all know this year was for the Scousers
Dixon Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 The main objective was achived today so a win next week would be an added bonus. All the pressure is off our lads now, so the question is, can they get themselves as fired up as an Arsenal team needing to win to qualify for Europe?

That was the best Ipswich team/manager ever, should of won the league if not for Dalglish and co. erskblue 1
Bobbywoodhogan Posted July 26, 2020 Posted July 26, 2020 I feel like we owe them on, we’ve lost 2 FA Cup finals to this lot hopefully third time is the charm for us. Would be amazing end to the season 4th and the FA Cup. Come on boys let’s do this! erskblue and mojo 2

ozboy Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 We’ve beaten some very big names on our journey to this final. And I think we’ve had enough big game experience to carry it off. Arsenal will be strong opposition though and it will mean a lot to them. I never ever believe betting odds but note we are favourites.
Andy North Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 We should beat Arsenal. They have had some good results against the big teams recently but still have a defensive weakness. I think we need to keep Willy in goal and double up on Aubameyang. Remember how we beat them in EL final last year. That.
Droopy Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 Yeap, easy win. 3-0 Chels, 2x Giroud, Reece James from long distance.
