Southampton just can't get over the red card and the game's gone. Not a bad result for Chelsea though, leaves Southampton behind us in the race for 4th

Disagree. We have no hope of catching city or Liverpool, so our aim is currently United the Leicester.

Southampton can give us a game one off, bit over the course of the season they are not a threat to top 4.

I've written off the top 3 - probably the 2 Manchester clubs and Liverpool.

You are probably right. Was hoping for a good United wobble.

it looks tough whatever way it falls - even Everton can't be discounted from being a threat. we need to go on a winning run and beat a few teams around and even above us, fingers crossed.

United are ahead of Liverpool though, so if Liverpool are out of reach, then so are United. I think City, United and Liverpool will easily make up the top 3 this season. We need a massive swing of results to go in our favour just to make top 4 now. Everton, Villa and Tottenham need to lose their games in the hand for a start and we must start putting together a few 5 or 6 game winning streaks from now until the end of the season.

a win on Thursday would be a start. our record v the top half of the table is woeful, if we've to have any chance we have to improve that

Doesn't work like that, Spurs were ahead of City not long ago now fast forward less than 2 months we have a chance to go above the former while the latter is miles away.

United are streaky, if we put a run together we'll have every chance of catching them although we will likely need to beat them at home and minimum get a point Thursday.

Just looked at the score.........pathetic from Southampton. Two 9-0 defeats in back to back seasons.

To a United side who, in their last two games, could not score against Arsenal nor even draw at home to a side who had lost every single away game they had this season...

Think top 4 will come down to catching Leicester. Can’t see City, Liverpool or United dropping that many points. Their inconsistencies have largely been iron out now.

Leicester or bust I’m afraid.

Let’s hope Leicester channel their form from the end of last season!
