Really poor performance so far. Yes we are up 2-0 but the number of chances Barnsley had is absolutely ridiculous. The midfield is not covering the back four well enough and Tomori had a really poor half too. 

Our midfield is really something Lampard needs to figure out, he keeps changing it every week and I have no idea what he is trying to achieve. As good as Kante, Kovacic, Jorginho, Havertz, Mount and Barkley seems on paper it just doesn't work out on the pitch. The only games where our midfield was actually working well was when Jorginho and Kovacic played together without Kante. Otherwise it has been a constant mess.

That is also the case true, but there will always be times when we will lose possession and having a DM will at least be there to close down.

Great point, I agree. Midfield stability seems to be our biggest problem at the moment, I think if that gets sorted out the defense will stabilize as well.

How is that not a foul? Tammy has gone past both of them and they’ve tripped him which caused him to lose his footing and not get the ball before Baxter. Surely that should be pulled back for the foul.
