I HATE THE STUPID INTERNATIONAL BREAKS... but of jerk nations being selfish wanting to play games.

Also, I bought FIFA 21 today after saying I wasn't going to... I'm such a pushover... I'm gonna go win the Champions League with Declan Rice as my number 9, Kepa at RW and Kante in goal.

That's the spirit!

To be fair I did not say we could not or would not win Val, just that a clean sheet might be asking for a bit much.

Guess that was the confidence to come from having a big goalkeeper back between the posts again.

What happened to your optimism and iron-clad belief in our team whilst wearing blue-tinted glasses :empathy: ? Let's not start virtually conceding goals a week before actual kick-off

Need to bump this so it feels like we don’t actually have to wait that long for the next game. International breaks are dire.

Five more days and were back on the serious stuff, can't wait either, without wishing to put a mockers on our season that clean sheet against Palace has given me hope of a shot at the title.

I still think playing at home is an advantage - isn’t it ?)

with players unable to come out of the same tunnel and silly anti covid rules that make no difference (when you take into account that the players you are separating for the short walk are about to kick lumps out of each other). Away teams at the bridge have got a much longer walk. They are getting changed in the hotel spar and have to walk through the parking lot. Me personally would make them walk from craven cottage or maybe even Twickenham wouldn't be a bad idea (if the burley rugby players aren't using it) to get even more of an advantage.

@saintquin I’ve not really paid attention to any other clubs this season, what do you think of your boys chances?

Not expecting anything. Unless you help us out like you did with West Brom!

Think we've done ok in our last 2 but they were against teams at the bottom.

We've made it too easy for teams to score against us and not scoring as many as I thought we would be.

We've a couple or three new players to come in at some time so whether that will make any difference only time will tell.

Then again I say the same thing about us playing all the "big clubs" and we know , like last seasons match, anything can happen on the day.

Looking forward to a Blues double this weekend. Chelsea and Rangers to win. I may have one or two orange juices to celebrate.

I dont really CARE about the outfield palyers picked as its the GK that brings me most stress > if mendy is injured then for crying out loud Frank select Willy to start and leave that CAR wreck kepa on the bench > if mendy is fully fit ,thrn start with mr. Mendy with Willy on the bench and kepa as far away as possible from the starting line up untill he can sort himself out

Don’t see that happening, he was the replacement keeper, and therefore no.2, for the Palace game, so if Mendy is out then, unfortunately, I think it means Kepa is in ? Like I’ve mentioned before, I think FL is under pressure from upstairs to keep Kepa as an option because, presumably;

(a) someone believes he has something to offer and will eventually come good ?

and / or

(b) by keeping him in and around the first team, his residual value won’t be too badly affected and somebody at some club who is suffering from major memory loss and a broken television might be desperate enough to buy him ?

What a terrible state of affairs when we put all our faith and hopes on a keeper who has played exactly 1 game for us !!!!!!!  ???
