January 3, 20215 yr "What it tells me is city are content and not pressing letting us have the ball in defence" True, but we still look for him over Mount and Kovacic

I am sick of watching us go on a decent run of form and then completely crumble after 1 result doesn't go our way. Is there any other team in the league that goes from one extreme to the next as regularly as us? All of the teams around us will pick up a bad result here and there, but they bounce back, why does it take months of awful results from us before we see any signs of improvement? What annoys me is that we will now have to find another system and way of playing, that's an absolute waste of transition if you ask me. We've gone backwards.

January 3, 20215 yr Just look at the two managers...Pep is constantly on his players, shouting and talking to them on the sideline, Frank stands there bemused and has no words to offer his team who are being given a footballing lesson....there is one of the problems right there.
January 3, 20215 yr Maybe it’s time to step away from the possession football and move to a more counter attacking football. I hate to say it but we don’t have the midfield to play possession football.
January 3, 20215 yr This is both form and formation. Frank was tactically played off park. Frank's been played off park for many times this season.

January 3, 20215 yr Is this a worse run than what cost Carlo?, because we look bereft of ideas, you don't have to be Einstein to see City have a structure, and adhere to it, and its very fluid and potent.

January 3, 20215 yr Wish we had signed Ruben Diaz, Man City just always get the best possible player.

Question is are the club still going to stick with developing him at the cost of CL football. Sarri somehow managed to survive after being beaten 2-0 against Arsenal, then 4-0 against Bournemouth and then 6-0 against City, the results against Bournemouth and City were back to back our worst defeats in the Premier League era. So if he can survive that, then I wouldn't be surprised if Lampard is given more time to turn it around. Edited January 3, 20215 yr by Scott Harris
January 3, 20215 yr I don't even know what Frank will do after this. Change formation, change players? Wish for a better form...
