It's because we never fully comitted to it. If we are going to play possession based football, then why have we bought in so many players that aren't suited to it? Werner, Havertz, Mount, Hudson-Odoi, Pulisic, Kovacic, Kante, Giroud, Abraham, these aren't players suited to possession based football. The only players in our team that this type of football would suit are Gilmour, Jorginho, Silva and maybe Ziyech. 

If we aren't going to bring in players suited to a certain style of football, then why are we trying to play that way?

Havertz gotta start. He was excellent after coming on. As was CHO

For attacking Mids, and i like young Havertz, but we should of splurgde that amount on Grealish, and i said this during the summer, the last 10 Mins we looked okay-ish
Pulisic Werner Cho look good as  pacy attackers, need Reece back.

I really don’t see what Mount, Kovacic and Kante are doing for us. Gilmour looked much better than Kante tonight.

My four points for a win points system can't come soon enough. We'd have got a point for winning the second half. City would have got three points, and would have missed out on 4 because they didn't win both halves.
