He started the footballing culture of recycling possession and we’ve been stuck with it ever since. The only time we actually didn’t do it was under Frank, where we played some scintillating attacking football but then it fizzled out. I would love to see us play more direct, I’m so bored of Azpi passing back, pass to James, cross, etc. I really miss Fabregas, his long balls were something else. I think if we find someone with similar vision as Fabregas, we’d be much more effective in attack. Kovacic, Jorginho and Kante don't really have any creativity. Well Kovacic does see the perfect pass a lot of times but sadly he hasn’t really got the ability to pull off an inch perfect pass. Really? Surely the managers after Sarri should be more accountable for being unable to impress their stamp or style on the team? It's not like a Mourinho MK1 all conquering, records establishing team that you'd say the players just loved winning and unconsciously repeated it or played like that to replicate the winning. I blame Tichel mire, irrespective of the job he's done. You should be able to make good team selections and motivate them to not go out and play without any passion or zeal. It's going on for weeks now.
May 1, 20224 yr Sarri is the main reason why we are able to go toe to toe with City and Liverpool the past year.
May 1, 20224 yr Manager is failing at the moment. We are slipping badly, and he is not doing anything to address it. Not sure if it is complacency, distractions around the take over, personal/divorce problems, but it HAS to stop. You cant keep setting up the team in the same way, week in week out, and being surprised when they fail to deliver.
May 1, 20224 yr Sarri had us playing the most boring football I have ever seen us play. Lampards team (towards the end) had us playing some of the worst football I have ever seen us play. Tuchels at times isnt far behind either of them in the boredom/dross count.
May 1, 20224 yr Maybe if we don't make top 4 he needs to go,I love the bloke but my club is priority, still I hope we scrap it and he and the new owners have a major clean out.
May 1, 20224 yr It's fair to say Tuchel has made plenty of mistakes, easy to say after a loss but I can't believe he is solely wrong or should shoulder the lions share of the blame. Dave making that mistake was indicative of our inept attitude towards todays game. Players have to take the ultimate responsibility for their performance when given the nod. Too many of them are not going to be with us shortly and are clearly not performing. I disagree with his decision making on many things, as we all do throughout the season, but I still don't think there are many better out there than him, let alone available.
May 1, 20224 yr A few weeks ago I was saying to people we don’t need a massive rebuild, just a few tweaks, but we absolutely do. On top of keeping Colwill, Gallagher and Broja we need 2 CBs, a CM, 2 wingers and a striker. I’m not expecting all of those but that’s what we need really. I expect Rudiger, Christensen, Jorginho, Alonso, Ziyech, Barkley, Werner and Lukaku to all be gone in the summer

May 1, 20224 yr You can't motivate players that don't want to be motivated. We have a big problem at the club that filters through the entire team. Literally the only player in this entire squad that wants it enough is Thiago Silva, a player who is 37 who joined us because he just wanted to extend his career a few more years. Every single player needs to follow his example, but instead of doing that, they play like it means nothing, and I include our academy players in that too. Both Mount and James are nowhere near ready to be captain of Chelsea football club, they don't play every game like it means everything. I saw more desire, effort and commitment from Gordon at Everton than I have seen from any of our academy products in months, and that really f**king hurts. Who killed the passion in this club? who is responsible for turning us into one of the softest teams in the Premier League? The transformation of this club is eerily similar to Arsenal's transformation under Wenger in the mid 2000's, the only real difference being that we turn it on for a few months of the season. Rock solid leadership and quality from the likes of Terry, Carvalho, Ballack and Makelele, all gone. Players that give 100% for the badge every game even if they weren't pefect like Cahill, gone. Players that you really felt cared about the club like Joe Cole, gone. Warrior type players like Essien and Ivanovic, gone. Big game players like Drogba, gone. Consistent performers no matter the opposition like Lampard, gone. Where has this all gone and why have we turned our club into a team everybody now calls Charity FC? You can't change this by swapping out the manager every other season, it's an identity issue, and the identity of this club right now is a weak one.

Bakayako i dont care about because i dont have to watch him week in week out anymore thank god. Werner is painful to watch.

The circle of life.

May 1, 20224 yr 4 out if the last 7 league games tuchel has got everything wrong....f**king Arsenal are gonna finish ahead of us. We're clinging on against spurs for 4th....embarrassing.

Leeds away we can expect the same as today, and our team does not seem to have the heart against the physical approach. That leaves 3 home games which we should win on paper. Problem is our home form has been awful for months.

We're clinging on against spurs for 4th....embarrassing. If the North London clubs do a late surge of wins, we are in the EL. Our players have given up. They embarrassingly lost to Arsenal at home. How did they respond? A shaky win against West Ham and we only won because they were down to 10 men and their best fit CB was sent off. Then United. A United side that has given up. A United side that doesn't care. They were so open, it was like free candy from the store. We were free to do what we want. We still couldn't break them down and score apart from one moment. That was the official turning point that this squad is finished. You can't beat an unmotivated, couldn't careless United?? Today against Everton is another perfect example of why there's no hope for this team. 3rd place is gone unless the North London clubs feck up for us and we are not winning that FA Cup.
