Who else can we field though? Pulisic, Werner, Havertz, Abraham, Ziyech have all been out of form, Callum picked up a knock so I don't think he wants to rush him back into a start.

Best thing we can do is get these players who've done f**k all all season back into form and contributing. I love Giroud, but I can see why he went with Werner in this one, and a lot of people were having a go at Tuchel for not playing Werner last game due to his pace.

Either way, you're not going to be happy with the selection.

Totally agree with this. We have a fully fit squad and no one is really IN FORM. On paper this team should be good enough to get the win if they can all turn up (its about time they do). Strong bench too. As good as a time as ever to play at Anfield and win.

I was really hoping that Havertz have been playing well in training and Tuchel was saving him for this one but that doesn’t look like the case sadly.

I’m not annoyed with the Ziyech selection, I’m willing to give him the benefit of doubt. But if he plays like he did against United I’ll be pissed off. Surely he’s better than that.

It's a shame we've got such a hard pile of fixtures at the minute, because we really need to get our attackers back in form.

I'm still not completely counting out Havertz just yet, I still believe Pulisic and Ziyech will have something good to contribute this season, the sooner we get them going though the better, and they can only do that with starts.

For once i can subscribe your words. Werner was the obvious choice up front, and most will agree with it. Ziyech is a weird one, but Havertz and Pulisic haven’t been good either. For me it’s weird the midfield, breaking up Jorginho Kovacic that was working, but I guess he wants to give Kova a rest and needs Kante to try recover the ball high up.

How about a change of formation?

The pace or lack of it in this team is playing directly into Liverpool’s hands.

I also wish he changed formation, but he isn’t going to do that any time soon. Not sure why, but he’s making it clear that the intent so far is not to loose the games, doesn’t matter whether we play Sheffield Utd or Liverpool, so this formation will stay most likely until the end of the season.
