Atletico are falling apart, it's only a matter of time before they slip down to third.

I don't think it's clear who is better out of us and Real. I think we can give them a game, but I think we will need to be much better offensively if we are going to beat them. They have improved a lot in recent months, they have become very hard to beat.

Job done - not the most exciting game.

Also... I am ok with conceding. A clean sheet would have made it 4 on the spin in the knock out rounds. The law of averages would say we would then be due to concede in the next game.

So to concede now, an inconsequential goal, we can reset the clean sheet counter, and get another 3 on the trot.

then you haven’t been watching lately. Atletico had 10 point lead which has melted due to their sh*t performances. while Real had raised their game from early and they are deadly on the counter with quite of their stars injured. and don’t forget Zidane is a f**king shaman

The thing I would fear most in playing PSG or Madrid in the semis is the UEFA match officials.

Any team at their best can beat any team but I have a real problem with our attack and finishing, I hoped that we turned a corner vs Palace but that seemed to be a one off. If our defense can still hold up against the very best then that does give us the chance to '2012' it again though.

Real it's like an animal in CL. I'm afraid of them, especially since they're in shape lately.

I’d like to admit right here and now that I wasn’t wearing any socks tonight. I take full responsibility for the goal we conceded and will endeavour to wear socks in future. 

Maybe Real won't have Sergio Ramos and Asensio so that's a little bit of boost for us... But who cares right now I'm just happy we're in the semis! If only we can rest Mount and Kante and if Kovacic isn't seriously injured... One step beyond!

If we have the ref from the first leg we should be ok. If we have this one that allowed our players to be booted all over the shop we have no hope.

That's actually an insane thought, I can't imagine how he would feel but I already feel sorry for him just by thinking about that possibility...

the old adage about the greener grass comes to mind.

Solid defensive performance apart from the shinned overhead kick.  A couple of half chances missed by the forward line but being in the semi-final was the goal for tonight. Looking forward to the City game, we may not be victorious but we'll give them a good game.

So true... I think that if he didn't by now, he would definitely regret leaving us if we manage to beat Real Madrid because I think that genuinely, at his heart he would have wanted to play for us in that CL final.

Munich go out, City must be delighted. This is by far their best chance to finally win the CL now.

I don't know. PSG should have won the game tonight. They had a ton of easy chances that they should have scored from.

Our approach tactically tonight I have zero issues with, as many have said why go chasing the game when we didn't need to.

But.....we lost a game tonight not because of a wonder goal, but because of our lack of quality and or ruthlessness in the final third, and that is a big problem for me.

Be as defensive as you want, but be ruthless and strong when you have the chance. As the ante ramps up these chances need putting away.
