Agree with @Munkworth on that. He’s had a good tournament but as you say it’s Sterling who is grabbing the headlines. Sterling has been frustrating but he has been a nightmare fir defenders with his directness.

July 7, 20215 yr Southgates luck continues. Own goal and a dubious pen that was missed and falls back to Kane. Very lucky.

July 7, 20215 yr Into a final at last… I was 7 last time that happened Not the greatest performance, a bit scruffy and a dodgy penalty Sterling is having a great tournament, showing a better performance than I thought him capable Southgate has so far made the right choice of decisions The job isn’t done yet, time to end 50 years of hurt

July 7, 20215 yr Author I was born in July 66, year of the Fire Horse in Chinese Astrology. Close game today, Denmark were a difficult opponent. We were nervy early on yet came to life after Denmark scored, thankfully. Good move for our goal even though an own goal, great initial ball from Kane. Their free kick was a good goal too I suspect Pickford did not see it until late. Kane's penalty was a little disappointing yet he backed it up, good man. Was it a penalty can't tell TBH. Thought Southgate was careful with the subs perhaps a bit too careful, though liked him mirroring their formation in ET. Mount for me did not play as well as at Chelsea, did not play badly yet not quite as effective though nice to see his spot kicks were decent. Thought Maguire was unlucky to be carded. I called this one correctly and see an Italian win unfortunately.
July 7, 20215 yr Congratulations England on a deserved victory. Really proud of Denmark, with all they've been through the performances have been truly amazing. And they are just getting started. Too bad the decisive goal came from a Sterling dive and poor refereeing, but with all the chances England created, it was deserved. Southgate has really done well, though I don't get why England got so defensive against 10 man in 2nd half OT. Good luck on Sunday.
July 7, 20215 yr 3 hours ago, just said: I want Denmark to have a lot more possession in the England half. I need Declan Rice to make 8 interceptions to prove he had a great game. Don't worry though, it's coming home!
July 7, 20215 yr Yep, Twitter confirms that the rest of the world still f**king hates us 🤣 Bitter f**kers, I bet half of them support an English team as well.
