There was nothing in it between  Kovacic and Kante for me. Neither put a foot wrong the whole game and drove the team to play at a tempo we miss far too often. Gave the nod to Kovacic, how could I not after yesterday strike.

The energy levels, touch, footwork and dribbling from Kovacic and Kante today was brilliant to watch. You could give it to either of them really, but I'm going for Kovacic because he got us the goal that got us back into the game.

The stand outs were Mendy, Kova and Kante. Kova edged it and the goal was special.

There is no doubt in my mind that Kova and Kante are our best central midfield pairing by a distance. We just don't get that tempo and pace when Jorginho is in there, and defensively they offer much better cover particularly in 1on 1 situations.

Kovacic was superb. Bossed the midfield and as for his goal, a brilliant strike.

Some fine saves by Mendy.  I thought Pulisic had a good game. Thought it was his best game in a long time.

Kovacic was superb. If he can add some more goals to his game he will become the midfielder we are seriously lacking.

Can only agree with what everyone said already - got to be Kovacic, all round great performance, and a super stunning goal.

Kante also had a great game, and some super saves by Mendy especially second half worth mentioning - was glad Pulisic finished well for the equaliser too. Kova has to top it overall for the match, one of his best performances for us so far.

Good to see he clearly read my recent comment about his lack of goals and assists and took it on board..................................!!
