My "defending" of him was basically he was better than one of the bottom 10 keepers in Europe last season. But even if I was thinking he was genuinely great and didnt want him replaced, I'm not the one here preaching standards so it's pretty moot in this particular case.

You conveniently ignored this post last time we spoke on this. So yes, lets talk about standards. Petrovic once again proving he's better than Sanchez.

But Baba Rahman was a better option than Ivanovic that season, so isn't this just proving my point that we were better with Petrovic? And keeping Sanchez instead of Petrovic was the wrong move.

No, the wrong move was not ditching both and bringing in someone actually good enough to be our #1.

He was, Ivanovic's drop off was unheard of. Just having someone that could run was an improvement. I agree we should sign a serious number one. We didn't, but we should have kept Petrovic over Sanchez. Sanchez is the worst goal keeper to have ever played for Chelsea in the Premier league era. The mistakes he makes wouldn't be accepted in the national league.

February 14, 20251 yr Classic Colwill. Weak and shrugged off the ball then sits on the floor complaining while we concede. Awful player.
February 14, 20251 yr He looked better in that short loan at Brighton than he has ever looked in a Chelsea shirt. We ruined him.

He is still only 21 and I do rate him but he must stop looking to the officials for fouls so often and be stronger. At least we have better options now with Chalobah and Tosin, meaning we can rotate a bit and rest him. Lost count of the times he has done this now. Will he never learn FFS?
February 14, 20251 yr Should've sold him when we had the chance. I don't know what is his deal but this at least the 10th time this season where he thinks he's getting a foul and throw his arms up, and stays on the pitch. And we have a 13 games left to play, that's a bit too much.

February 14, 20251 yr Mentally & Physically weak. Can’t see any positive attributes to his game, he’s not great at tackling, his marking is lacking, his passing is nothing to write home about, for his height he’s below average in the air.
February 15, 20251 yr In god awful form at the minute. Any serious team would have a CB to replace him with, we sent our second best option to Italy. I do wonder what the difference was between the ‘push’ by Enzo for the equaliser and the ‘push’ on Colwill before their third. Neither are fouls but it’s inconsistent by the ref.

He was a kid being mentored by a half decent solid CB in Dunk. Colwill has never progressed since his initial early potential, significantly overhyped his own ability, massive entitlement issues and is now deemed to be the senior ranking defender within our hapless group. Laughable. I have been saying it from day one, I am still yet to see what hype has all been about.
