The Disasi one is actually a bit better - because we already received a £5m loan fee from villa.

We have also seen the club taking a pretty liberal approach to extending contracts - so in theory, we could extend either of them for a year (assume the club has extension options), and still sell them - making the fee amortised further. (This could be bo**ocks....not actually sure if this is allowed).

Didn't they cap the amortisation to 5 years after the event?

I’ve been harsh on the lad cos he comes across as a bit of a millennial (weak & entitled) but the last few games he’s starting to change my mind, was quality yesterday once again.

Apparently hasn't been dribbled past once in the past 6 games.

Thought he had another good game today with yet another different CB partner. People forget he's still quite young and will only get better.

Amazing how much he's improved since the links to Huijsen started LOL.

Probably the kick up the arse that he needed.

He's gotten a lot better as the season has gone on. I just hope we can get a top CB to play alongside him next season that he can build a partnership with.

All of the CBs that we have been linked with are left footed LCBs. Maybe I've just become overly cynical of this mob.

He just turned 22 in feb. Saliba was playing in France till 22 for context.

I think he is doing well for a young CB- he will improve his positioning and read of the game. He has good ball playing ability.. he will never be a JT - I don’t think he is that brave, but his blocks will improve with anticipation and experience.

He has been playing PL since he was 20 and every year he has made improvements ..

Too early to say told you so ?!? ;-)

Hope Colwill really kicks on this season and becomes our firm first choice CB.

There are games where he really does look the part and he definitely has leader potential and could be future skipper. I just hated the times he would go down too easily and not get straight back up. When you're a CB, you just don't stay down - that's unforgivable. Hopefully he has learned from that and it must have helped him to learn from Silva too.

I feel sorry for him with Maresca constantly swapping his CB partner, its such a moronic thing to do, its probably the most important partnership on the pitch and needs to be 2 from 3 on the pitch always, build up the relationship and understanding between them. Have we even had 3 games on the trot this season with the same pairing?

I was gonna write something very similar, ideally he’d have had another couple of years of Silva to learn from… an experienced pro next to him would still be best but next best would be a settled partnership or 2 from 3 as you say. Important not only from the usual defensive perspective but also the f**king about with it at the back side which I feel takes a bit away from his game weirdly . Levi is a good passer of the ball and can step out with it too but Maresca doesn’t like that so 10yrds square it is. That’s all irrelevant to me anyway, defend first then play.

Gave him the benefit of the doubt and assumed he did it based on opposition (Chalobah or Tosin) but when Badiashile comes out of nowhere and starts with Colwill that is when I stop defending it.

Ever since the Ipswich draw at home he's been a different player. Far more locked in.

Tuchel should just call up all 3 of Colwill, Chalobah and Tosin to England every chance he gets. All 3 of them have been performing at a high level since the year started. All 3 of them constantly playing together helps with team chemistry too. All 3 are better than Konsa and Maguire. Guehi can take the 4th spot because he's a Cobham lad 😁

I’m willing to eat humble pie on this one and admit I got it wrong.

Had written him off midway through this season as another wet wipe millennial. Going to ground so easy and throwing his hands up for a foul every 5 minutes really grated me.

Last 1/3rd of the season and the whole CWC he’s been absolutely immense. Grown tenfold and is showing every characteristic of a world class CB. So excited to his continued growth next season, doesn’t seem to be an exaggeration he could reach JT levels of eliteness in the position

Sounds like he’s picked up a pretty serious injury in training. Our season could be derailed before it’s even begun. Could now see us move for Guehi tbh.

Fecking hell.
