August 7, 2025Aug 7 Poor lad, yeah that's proper sh*t for us, we can't go into the season without replacing him.

August 7, 2025Aug 7 ColwillRJCHORLCTinoSo many of our most talented youth products have such terrible luck with serious injuries. Bizarre. Praying he makes a speedy recovery.
August 7, 2025Aug 7 Awful news...What a bad timing for him, important player. Let's hope his recovery will be good, he has a bright future in front of him.
August 7, 2025Aug 7 Best wishes to Levi for a speedy and full recovery. As for replacing him, well, if Badiashile, Hato and Anselmino can't provide cover for Colwill then you have to question why are they even hanging around here taking up squad places ?Perhaps we will also stop trying to sell Veiga now ?
August 7, 2025Aug 7 We could sell Disasi and Veiga and use the money for Guehi. That’d leave us with Guehi and Chalobah as first choice with Tosin, James, Badiashile to rotate. Acheampong and Hato are pretty versatile too but not sure Maresca trusts them to start on a regular basis.

A quick Google tells you Roy Keane, Xavi, Totti, Shearer all suffered ACLsAs well as bloody VVDLet's not be so defeatist. It's terrible for the lad, and for the squad, but he's going to get great treatment and he will probably be back in March Edited August 7, 2025Aug 7 by bisright1
August 7, 2025Aug 7 Horrible news!Speedy recovery for the young man.We could use our 20% discount and buy back Marc Guehi.
August 7, 2025Aug 7 Also, don’t we have a 20 per cent sell on clause for Guehi, so wouldn’t we get him at a discount?Edit: Ah, see someone mentioned this already. Edited August 7, 2025Aug 7 by Dr. Socrates
August 7, 2025Aug 7 At the start of the season Levi looked weak and nowhere near the defender I was hoping for, but towards the end of the season he transformed into a player that could lead this team’s defense for years. Gutted by this injury just when things were going great for him and us.Is Guehi really the answer and aren’t Liverpool sniffing around?
August 7, 2025Aug 7 We should be all over Guehi now but either way, very good that we have got Hato for the mean time who is solid.

August 7, 2025Aug 7 What a bloody disaster. Just as I was starting to get hyped for the season.Get well soon lad Edited August 7, 2025Aug 7 by BordeauxBlue
August 7, 2025Aug 7 Awful news. For the SD’s, i think it’s a really hard replacement as how you buy someone top class knowing that Colwill will be back in 9-12 months?

Carries the ball very well too.Think if there’s anyone who can come in and need zero time to adjust/maintain Colwill’s level, it’s Guehi. Brings leadership and doesn’t pose the risk of taking Colwill’s spot permanently given he can play on the right too. Edited August 7, 2025Aug 7 by Sconnie Blue
August 7, 2025Aug 7 Very disappointing news - really feel for Levi. You only have to read the comments here to appreciate the importance of his role in the team as a player and emerging leader. For now I wish him a full and speedy recovery. Rest up, come back stronger - we'll see you in blue again soon enough Levi!
August 7, 2025Aug 7 This really sucks, and just so typical too. Whenever we're feeling good about our position again, something like this comes along to bring us down. This kind of injury to such a big player changes a teams prospects for the season. I don't see how we compete at the top without Colwill. Tosin and Chalobah are competent CB's, reliable, but I feel like they are CB's you stick next to a better CB to get the best out of them. We don't have a CB that reaches the same highs as Colwill. He's our only left sided CB too, which makes this even more damaging. I'm not counting Badiashile either, he's nowhere near the level required.2 hours ago, Zeta said:Not many come back from ACL's the same. Could be his career with us mostly over.I feel like most do, but it depends on a few things. Age is a big one. When I see players pick up this injury in their late 20's, I rarely see them get back to their best. When they are young, they usually recover well, but it takes a long time to get back to their best. Van Dijk is seen as the best CB in the world and I thought he struggled a lot the season after he recovered. Azpilicueta picked up the same injury before joining us too, and he is one of our best defenders ever.
