Our football under Sarri was probably the most regularly tedious in all my years of watching Chelsea. Over playing in midfield, not committing players forward in numbers ahead of the ball. It was more often than not incredibly frustrating and boring.

What we did have though (and Sarri had), was Hazard. A true world class forward at that time, capable of going past opponents with ease and scoring worldies.

At least Sarri played a 4-3-3 with a lot of emphasis on movement, this back 3 passing the ball around and waiting for T.Silva to shoot from distance is objectively more tedious. Sarri got the best out of Hazard so both got a lot from that relationship.

We sorely miss a winger that can beat a man and a CF that actually put his heart on a sleeve. Overall we lack players that would put everything out on the field and finish the game at full time knackered.

And a central midfielder that can run the attack which Havertz cannot do.

Whenever I hear pundits say "Lukaku is one of the best at....." I roll my eyes. Lukaku isn't one of the best at anything.

Good thing my stream doesn't have english commentary or I'd have choked on my pizza.

Yep. If Tuchel brings on Nevin, Speedie and Dixon for CHO, Havertz and Lukaku we will walk this game.

We play far too slow. That’s one of the main differences between us, Liverpool and City.

We do nothing at pace and therefore rely on all passes in any move to be inch perfect.

We play far too much like an Italian team but without any of the accuracy that the Italians do when they attack.

And this has been the case for years no matter who our manager is. I mean playing slow and too safe. We have no capability of taking any risks.

We just looked too managed, too structured, were playing to a process and seem unable or not allowed to play outside of that, play any heads up football. It's garbage to watch, it's like the worst periods of  Sarri's tenure only without Hazard to drag us through games.

Nah , he’s been picking the ball up in good positions and has had a number of terrible passes/shot, nothing to do with the system. Hopefully he picks it up in the 2nd half

Yes, every attacker we have bought in the last 2 years going to sh*t has nothing to do with our system or the way we play.

I’d take an 80 year old Bobby Tambling and the ghost of Peter Osgood.

Havertz is the trequartista. He's the free man since Mount went off
