I’m not. Should have this and that - as others write, this is tactical. Our press needs to be more aggressive and coordinated. If not RM will make any defender look stupid.

Agreed. I have no idea why he has been on the fringes of late. He's been one of our best players this season. He's also added a lot to his attacking game.

Defensively a shocking display...WTF has gone wrong in recent weeks.  The back 3 and midfield are all over the place.   Probably wouldn't hurt to put Saul or Ziyech on and yank Mount.   They have far too much room in the midfield...can only but hope for a better 2nd half.

We just run towards Real's trap all half long. Modric is master in taking advantage of this type of stupidity. 

On top of that Benzema has to be the best player in the world atm.

So just because you are in a diffficult defensive position you don’t do the basic.. he fouls Vici takes a card that’s all that is needed in the first goal.. he has zero awareness in my opinion.. but beyond this we can agree to diaagree

This is most of all our press not being tight, aggressive and coordinated enough. We need to be high up the pitch, but it only works if we press well and clever. Do ppl really think our very solid back 3 has suddenly gone bad?

We looked great at the start when it was dry, then the heavens opened and we folded then the rain stopped and we came alive again. Moral of the story ? ask the new owners for a stadium with a roof.

Vini and Benz causing all kinds of problems, our gameplan didn't really work so far despite the goal we scored because when you think about it, Real Madrid prefers to play deep and counter us. Pulisic and Mount probably didn't have 10 touches put together, huge difference from last year.

That was a great first half, completely open, completely mad.

It was fairly even until two moments of pure quality took us apart. From there we were forced to continue being aggressive, and it's fortunate that we got one back when we did considering the amount of space the midfield are leaving behind them.

We played into their hands in that half. They are patiently playing it across their defence and waiting for our players to push up before they play 1 or 2 simple passes through. It's very poor from us and both goals could have been avoided had the midfield and wing backs not pushed so high up.

Sorry Mendy down for their 2nd goal...only one place Benzema could have placed it and a good keeper would have moved that way...

Funnily enough I think Lukaku could do something here.

Bring on kova and Alonso for Jorginho and Azpi. Our team lacks balance . The left wing is non existent and makes no sense because everyone knows that Carvahal is the weakest link in the Madrid defense but for some reason we are playing Azpi at left back and leaving Pulisic isolated
