They scored 5 in 180 minutes. Earned if anything.

true... Vinicious, Benzema, MOdric.. absolute class play by them... our injuries caught up with his must say,, and the ref didnt give us much entire night..

Kante disaster class.

Funny how when players are fasting, they either get really good.. or really bad no inbetween.

Kante's game is based on his high energy and running. Benzema doesn't run that much because his positioning has always been world class

RLC was a liability at WB.. should have bought on Azpi much earlier.. and Kante was running on empty should have subbed him earlier too..

for the Benzema goal he lost out on a header to Marcelo who is about a foot shorter than him

Kante was immense tonight . But ultimately 2 mistakes that cost us the tie

Mate, come on.. he was error prone the entire game. Rudiger looked like he was going to rip his head off at one point, this was his worst performance in a Chelsea shirt.

Thought we were fantastic tonight proud of the boys. Sadly a disgraceful decision to rule out Alonso’s goal and a few mistakes ruined our chances.

How was it a disgraceful decision?

I understand if you think it is a disgraceful rule,  but the decision was 100% correct

i think he was out by then and tired.. should have been subbed earlier.. the moment Cama came on changed the game..

Or hit the ball hard enough for Loftus-Cheek, or if Pulisic wasn't sh*t and took one of his chances. So annoying to go out after playing so well.

He doesn't need to hit the ball at all. At that point, Madrid was hunting for the ball aggressively, it would have been so much easier to draw the foul

Kai, Lukaku, Jorginho, Pulisic all had good chances to score. It is what it is

Proud of the team tonight! Hard to take it having been 3-0 up with 15 minutes to go, but we made fatal errors and were punished by two world class players in Modric and Benzema. We should have scored a few more, but ultimately we haven’t got the same killing instinct that Benzema shows. Bring on Palace on Sunday! Hopefully the players don’t feel leggy after tonight.

There will be a time to properly dissect tonight and last week but what I will say is that was one hell of a game of football. Thoroughly proud of the club tonight despite the eventual outcome. Edge of the seat stuff from start to finish and that's what European football is all about.

I never said he played well. All I said is Kante's game is based on high energy and running so him fasting was a negative for sure. Benzema's style of play didn't need as much energy so the extra focus from fasting made him more conservative in terms of energy expenditure so he was extra sharp for any loose balls so fasting for him was a positive.

He’s a humble guy so the media WON”T SAY A WORD about it… but tonight, was all on Kante, we’re out out because of this man, let’s not be ALL diplomatic and try and avoid this fact.

Huge performance and unlucky not to go through in the end. I personally wouldn't have taken Werner off, and Saul needed to come on earlier for Kante.

Pulisic should have done far better with his chances, then Courtois kept them in it saving Kai's header down low.

And of course it helps when the players that come off the bench add something. It's almost as if all the subs took something away from us rather than add something. Such a shame we have spent so much but the team is packed with mediocre players.

Chelsea dominated this game unfortunately a mistake by Kante and then what can you say an unbelievable pass by Modric to give them life. Chelsea did look gassed in the extra time
