General consensus seems to be that TT is wrong and responsible for circus-style performance by our players. But this is just scapegoating in my opinion. 

I find it difficult to recall which one of our players actually played well tonight. Lethargic, no vision, poor ball control, wayward passing, passing the ball straight to opposition or into no-man's land, no aggression, relaxed strolling absolutely care-free. 

Our team produced zero positivity tonight, just pure frustration through the whole match. All players. no exception, did not give two sh*ts tonight. I actually find it very offensive and disrespectful towards home fans.

I'm beginning to think TT isn't going to do it. The squad is relevant of course. If you compare us now to title winning Chelsea teams or to Liverpool/City a key difference in my mind is that the best sides can swap squad players in when needed but the way the team plays basically stays the same. TT has not ingrained that in our squad so when he makes changes we lose shape. It's a mess. 

Lukaku is another factor although the issue is similar. We don't have a way of playing with him on the pitch - it's a mess and it's been a mess all season.

Maybe but teams like Arsenal have to take the small victories. You have to give it large when you beat a London rival and that's what makes it so f**king annoying tonight.

You just know they will put like a picture of nketiah in the chelsea academy and some emotional piano music and then show his goals with a slowmotion of his celebration and they will make it appear that arteta did some tactical masterclass while Sarr was their best player

As much as I hate Saka, his attitude especially, whether or not that should be a penalty is not the issue for me. It’s the fact Azpi shouldn’t be anywhere near him anyway, as there was literally no need, totally unnecessary to be in ‘any’ kind of dual or close proximity in that context. 

I think it's just another reminder of how huge a drop off is between our first teamers like Rudiger, Silva, Kovacic and our bench,

People are having a go at Sarr but he's just an average footballer who is the fifth choice CB and barely plays. I'm much more angry with Christensen who gifted the first goal and then completely lost his head. People tend to forget, exactly the same thing happened to him under Conte, one mistake vs Barca that led to goal and then he broke down and started making bad mistakes every match. He's mentally fragile and doesn't belong here.

Kante's demise is shocking. If this is what he's become we need to sell asap while there are some takers.

RLC looked good early in the game but then faded, as he usually does, That's the reason he'll never be a top player for us or any other club. When the going gets tough, he hides.

This experiment with James playing at RCB should stop. We spent months lamenting how we're suffering without our first choice wingbacks, then he makes a comeback.....to play centreback? WTF?

Lukaku shouldn't have started, waste of space again. Werner put in effort, got a goal, but as usual, his poor  technique let him down on too many occasions. With Rudiger already out leaving Thiago on a bench was odd. 

I said when the lineup was out, too many changes, not a good sign. Is it possible the TT underestimated Arsenal? But how could he, given their desperate battle for a 4th spot? Some things, like losing Rudiger and Kova to injuriesm he had no control of, but resting Silva and Havertz was a mistake. Arsenal are no mugs and they were up for it.

The only person in the studio (including ex-arse Merson) who thought it was a penalty was Jaime Redknapp. That’s all you need to know about whether it was a penalty or not.

Serious questions need to be asked about TT now. We saw these horror defeats last season and we gave him a pass because he’s new.

Tonight is unforgivable. ALWAYS start your strongest XI against rivals. Tonight isn’t the night to be tinkering and he should have learnt from last season.

This is worrying because it seems to me he isn’t learning.

You could say that, but how many times over the years have we fielded our strongest team and still found ourselves putting in this types of performances? I have seen Tuchel field our strongest side countless times this season only to see the exact same level of performance.

Agreed. We didn't look like getting back into the game, even before the late penalty. 

Apparently Christensen came off because he said to Tuchel that he couldn’t continue.

Physically and mentally weak!

Give him a few minutes against Watford in the last match maybe.

But that should be it, he’s already checked out and it’s harming us!

While Lukaku is useless you cannot blame him for the calamitous defending. I think we would have done a lot better starting Chalobah instead of Sarr, and Thiago instead of Christensen. Also Azpi should only be played in the middle 3 these days.

He’s the elephant in the room at the moment, most of us don’t wanna go there.. but it’s a pill we’re all gonna have to swallow. 

Could have done a Matic and sold at the right time but now he’s only got a year left on his contract. Depending on whether he has a stinker or not at the world club, most of the proper clubs will have sussed it out.

The thing is, Arsenal parked the bus when it was 2-3. If they didn’t score, they would still be open for us to attack.

Being on Havertz was too late because they closed shop and made it difficult for us.

Always start with your strongest XI. Then maybe we wouldn’t blame TT. But I have to tonight. Because the alternatives picked are way worse.

I'm sorry but I can't agree with this. Of course the manager has overall control and responsibility but he should be in the position of being able to pick players from the whole of the available squad. The fact that Christensen is technically and mentally fragile is surely a failing of the player and not the manager.  Whether he is slipping on his arse or underhitting a back pass, or just sh*things himself whenever anyone gets near him, the manager shouldn't be held to account regarding his overall ability. This guy is the best manager we have had for years. Our board should be apologising to him for cluttering up his squad with such a large number of inadequate sh*thouses. When it's his team then maybe but I don't even think Lukaku is one of his even though he was bought under TT

We played our first team against Brentford and got hammered. The issue wasn't the changes it was the mentality of the players. Rudiger was injured, so the only players rested were kai and silva who both came on in the second half.
