It's also possible that Saul and Barkley would be a better midfield tonight than RLC and Kante ... :-) Our midfield is easy to play through, doesn't shield the defence, and offers almost nothing to the attack. And it doesn't seem to matter who plays. Definitely an area in dire need of reinforcements ...
April 20, 20224 yr We put all that effort in against Real Madrid, to return with a decent 45 min performance against Palace, and a poor showing tonight at home again. We really have turned into a cup team.

April 20, 20224 yr Tbh as much as we can say we dropped our level, TT got it wrong etc. Arsenal have played better than us, we need to cut out these silly mistakes in def because that cost us against Madrid. Omg pen ffs
April 20, 20224 yr Tuchel will say post match that he had to decide whether to play a strong side after the last week we've had or rotate.
April 20, 20224 yr I can't believe Timo Werner has been our most competent outfield player tonight - we need to take a look at ourselves
April 20, 20224 yr Don't know why I bother watching us at home anymore, it's just a chore. I hate the mentality that has infected our club. We have seen how well we can play with the performances we put in against the likes of Real Madrid. I don't give a sh*t if that was a big game, this one is big too, that goes for every game in a Chelsea shirt. This group doesn't have the hunger to be title winners. I don't care if they say they want to win the league title, their words are meaningless, if you can't be bothered to put in the effort week after week, then you don't deserve to be winning sh*t.

He can't be at fault for the poor depth we have but taking our only good wing back and having him play CB, partnering a league one standard CB and another CB who's head is off in Barcelona is genuinely, genuinely awful management.
April 20, 20224 yr Sums up our night .... I put the blame squarely on TT for tonight. If this was any other team I get it, but to make these changes against Arsenal was f**king ludicrous
April 20, 20224 yr What a f**king piss poor performance from multiple players tonight. Gjetting payed f**ktonof money and not even sweatting for the club! Its a f**king disgrace and they should be ashamed. Alonso, sarr, and AC are all clowns with lukaku in charge of theire useless performances. Hopefully we get new players this summer,, and sell a bunch. Im switching this game off, gonna watch the local news channel more excitement there! Loosing another homegame against a worse team, and at the final sprint of the season loosing points to the team breathing down our neck. HOW can they play with theire heads in theire hands? Walking around on the field like chickens, when we are supposed to be attacking and scoring goals.. 0 imagination in the front, No movement, nor when we are under preasure.. this performance must be the worst Hahahaha and now a penalty by our CAPTAIN! That stupid captain, full of himself
April 20, 20224 yr Not putting the blame of this game on Sarr, AC, and Lukaku. Putting the blame on Tuchel for completely disrespecting this game and letting them play. Arsenal are a sh*t team but this is a derby and every fan wants to see their team win derbies, shouldn't be experimenting with players that are bench/reserve at best.
April 20, 20224 yr That game, probably more than most, explains why we are so far behind City and Liverpool. Not just in points but in quality and consistency. Those two teams are not perfect every week either but rarely if ever would you watch them and say as many as 4 of the starting eleven had howlers. Maybe one, at worst two. You'd put Cheek, Christensen, Sarr and Lukaku in that category easily tonight. All four were horrific. Kante was at best average but probably a little worse. Even the players who looked good in the first half such as Werner and Mount went totally off the boil in the second half. Tuchel got it wrong tonight. This was not the game to be resting players.
