Spoke to a random Pool fan from church and said he is still hurt from that Gerrard slip. He loved Gerrard and we stopped him from lifting the PL trophy.

That game was one of my top favourite moments as a Chelsea fan. I remember these dipper fans in uni telling me we will get smashed at Anfield 6/7-0 with complete ease. Who the hell do they think they were? I was streaming the game live on my phone in the library as I was revising for my exams.

I was extremely nervous especially when we parked 10 buses. When that slip happened, and scored. I got out of my seat uncontrollably - fists in air. People around looked at me. Kind of embarrassed myself but it was like a coke bottle exploded in my veins. Couldn't help it.

After the game, I rubbed it SO hard on those fools.

Back to today, I told him that story. He said to me, "Well, thank you for making the quad a reality anyway. Thanks for the LC and the FA Cup".

No response from me because I don't want to look like a fool. But I seriously hope their quad dreams come to a crashing end.

Damn Mana I almost got a hard on reading that....especially the bit about rubbing it in so hard...🤣🤣🤣

Welp We will get absolutely cooked alive.

Whatever TT did, putting the bandaids on our squad last season...it's all undone now.

Top 4 is seriously on the ropes as well. If Spuds somehow get something out of Liverpool, we are DONE.

If within 10minutes the players are not fighting all out, then just forfeit by half time.

Pool is on a different level mentally because they're fighting for everything.

We are a wounded animal, the only choice is fight or die. No half-assing it

I usually like to put forward a team I would like to see play against whoever we are facing. Sometimes the levels of unrealistic picks annoy some on here lol.

Am not going to do that for this game. Cause I cannot think of a combination of players TT could pick from who we have that will get our forward line firing, our midfield controlling and our defence solid again against this Pool team.

No matter who TT picks it will be wrong, cause no matter who he picks we are going to lose this game and the cup.

At the peak of our powers we can give them a game, but we are nowhere near that. Toni, Dave and AC all have their heads in moves elsewhere, kante is broken, Jorginis broken, RLC not good enough and Kova cannot defend, James is well off it, Havertz, Werner and Mount have been garbage since Real, so much so Lukaku is our bright spark. Etc etc.

In short no blame on TT here, as we have no chance.

With regards to yesterdays performance and the inconsistencies we're all Chelsea fans here and we can praise or dismiss players and managers at will. Yes some players have their heads elsewhere, some are getting past it and some are simply not good enough for a team with ambitions like Chelsea. A bit like Man U. But this season has been a 2 horse race for so long I wonder if players from any team sort of give up on winning the title and form just dips. After all we made the LC final,  gave Real a good fight in CL we're currently 3rd in the PL and we'll be going head to head with one of the best teams in Europe in the FA Cup so it's not all bad. Maybe next week will be a trigger for some players to make a bigger success of this season for themselves, the club and the fans default_ChElSea.gif.635978f3ede57e0fc46fafd5bbfc7196.gif

we are a dead animal, in fact we are a f**king carcass. I don’t see us resurrect at least not this season.

If we get to extra time, it will be a miracle..from that point forward anything could happen.  But I suspect we'd been blown out of the water before 90 mins is up unless TT and the players can pull off a tactical masterclass; but based on our recent performances that is highly unlikely and now that Liverpool have f**ked up their chances of another title they will be hungry to at least pull off a treble cup winning season.

I would not write them off in a league yet. City are more suspect to slip after CL shocker and if they somehow loose only a game Liverpool are pair with a better goal difference.

Liverpool have a +1 GD, hardly insurmountable lol, but they are more likely to increase it on paper. Just have to wait and see.

yes but if City loose that means at least +1 more on GD with 3 games left to balance it

I'm sure there's nothing behind the fact that Liverpool get an extra day's rest after the mid-week games - I mean it's not as if that's ever happened before when they've been involved in a big match.

Perish the thought.

I’m quietly optimistic for this. I think we should at least one massive performance in us this season and I’d be terribly disappointed if we didn’t show up for this at all.

We’ve lost finals in recent years where we were hot favourites like Liverpool are and also won a few coming in off bad form like we are now. We’ve matched them blow for blow three times this season already so it’s not as if there has been a precedent for them blowing us out.

Anything is still possible. However a couple of weeks ago Liverpool were able to keep taking the lead in the league before City played and this applying pressure on them (notice how the league seems to have scheduled all Liverpool's games first to help them in that regard). But now Liverpool will probably not be top before City play at Wolves, unless they win by more than 4 goals at Villa. So perhaps that gives City a slight pyschological advantage? My hope is that Liverpool are exhausting themselves in this chase for 4, and we can somehow take advantage of the situation next week. But Liverpool's energy doesn't seem to show signs of relenting at this point.

Spurs did chip away a point at Anfield, Liverpool looks match ready cause they are pushing to win it all but it's not as it seems, the goal that Spurs scored made whole Liverpool look pretty weak defensively and they managed to avoid defeat by a shot from outside of the box that took a deflection so they're not all that. The fact is they can only hope of winning the league if Man City loses so they're not in control there.

They constantly forced them wide for Robertson and TAA to play a ball. They then suffocated the final third as won nearly every ball Liverpool's wide men delivered. They effectively broke on the counter with the amount of space TAA left.

It wasn't really a real counter-attack, Liverpool just looks so open cause they play like that, they really are vulnerable and we can punish them.

£115 a ticket and I think I’m in the top f**king tier! Football is a joke!

That is nuts. The first FA Cup final I attended was Wimbledon v. Liverpool in 1988. Admittedly was quite easy to get tickets for Wimbledon end but I think I paid about a tenth of that price and still got to enjoy watching them dash Liverpool's dreams of a double 😉

If this happens it’s money well spent.

I had a facebook memory the other day of my FA cup final ticket back in 2011 against Liverpool, was still £85 back then! So much for being for the working class...
