    One the thing that I enjoy is looking at trend in football. Football may have evolve from big st who score goal and fb who will go up and down to false 9 and inverted fb but the essence is still the same. Offensively you try to get the ball to the box and defensively you want to prevent your opp to get to your box. There is no magical 3p shot like what we have in basketball. 

    But there is this "modern"  view that physicality doesn't matter and whatever you do it can just magically work. Lisandro Martinez and our own Jorginho are two example. Martinez is clearly a liability in the air and now people started saying that aerial ability is overrated.  So I can play short dm and a gk who can't catch cross with short CB and somehow someway it will just work. In football you want to get as must edge as possible and if your opp give your free lunch it is crazy not to take it. Brentford and Brighton showed that all you need is put a st on him and just kick your gk in that area and you can get a good joy in that area. I also haven't talked their problem against set pieces. It is funny how in that 2nd half, ten Hag brought varane and mctominay and suddenly all United problem against aerial ball went away. 

    It is the same story with jorgi. Jorgi is short, not strong and really slow. There is this idea that it does not matter. Our transition defense under Lampard was a joke to the point that I wanted us to recall Bakayoko. So what Tuchel does, easy play 3 cb behind him. Now it doesn't matter if you bypass Jorgi you have 3 cb behind him at all times. Good luck having a sprint race against James (just not Alphonso davies).

    Interesting to see Diaz score last night was beginning to think they had bought a dud, plenty of graft just no finish.

    I do remember Werner scoring a similar goal for us and his form then fell off a cliff.

    Salah missed a sitter by his standards too perhaps he will take it out on Utd.

    I agree with you. Those games shouldn't be hard for them to pick up maximum points, although if Brentford play as they did on Saturday they could give them a proper game.

    Theres nothing there form the defender that hasnt been done for decades, its all standard stuff defenders have done and will continue to do. If anything hits nowhere near the kind of sh*t that used to happen when there werent cameras everywhere. 

    If he gets wound up by that then he has no chance in the premier league.
