Marc Cucurella

Featured Replies

He must be playing well for his thread to be in the third page! I thought that he was very good on Sunday and wanted to bump his thread. I’m sure that he’s quietly becoming a cult player for some.

One thing I noticed was that he, Colwill and Enzo are defending their teammates a lot more after they get aggressively fouled. Caicedo foul comes to mind where Cucurella got straight into the players face. It's this type of stuff that builds unity and I felt this has been missing past couple of seasons.

I think the whole squad likes him a lot too.

One of the reasons I want this window closed is for them to be able to grow that unity. Hopefully as they said they're in a bubble from the rest of the loan grp and some of the chaos at the club, it won't affect them at all.

Now I wish we could cut all the media noise too. The media love bringing us down and still recycling rubbish. They needed a day or 2 I guess to re edit the rubbish they wrote for when we would lose to wolves!

His tweet after the Wolves game made me laugh. Agree that he is starting to get a cult following.

What I like:

His personality is like his name and hair CUCKOOOOOO 😅

He is a good footballer. I thought he isn't but he is. Is he 63m good, probably not.

He brings good vibes and certain leadership to the squad being 26 year old veteran 😅

What I still don't like

His footballing IQ. It is better than I thought but he is still unable to protect the back and found wandering around the pitch at transitions. Not solely his fault naturally.

His lack of height. Grow up Marc, please 🤣

You overlook his hair. Including his hair he's 7' tall.

After the first three games he is starting to look like the Cucurella we at Chelsea know. And the manager doesn't see any use for Chileell??

I thought he was OK today, helped a lot defensively. No idea what he was doing in the final third at times though, he was quite a way forward.

He probably just felt like going there.

Any movement the players make come from the manager. He’s is supposed to be Pep disciple or so we are led to believe.

Fail Wait For It GIF by Tomi Ferraro, Sportz

That kid is ruthless. Gained an early lead, but that wasn't enough so turned around and kicked the other kid 😆Maybe the other kid did a Materazzi and made a comment about his sister.

I like him, can we sign him?

He'll fit in perfectly and remind us of the good old days. He might not last long on the pitch but he looks young enough so the owners should be interested.
