Marc Cucurella

Have to hold my hands up with Cucurella, completely different player since the Euros. Genuinely look forward to watching him play now. Reminds of Luiz under Conte where we found a role to cover his deficiencies and he looks world class.

You’re joking with this one right? No c**t got past Brana at his peak!

He was f**king atrocious when we signed him. Error prone CB, tetchy on the ball, mind in the clouds. Great tackler though.

Shifted to RB he was one of the best we've ever seen, a genuine goal-threat in attack and a wall in defence.

I love this guy...

Did some "dark arts" training i guess. Hahaha

Brilliant, it's part of the learning curve, they all need to get smarter at this and its coming along nicely in set pieces especially.

Well done Cuckoo... 😆 (and set piece coaches)

Remember when all of us questioned this signing? It's like Tuchel and Boehly saw the future because 99% of the football world didn't believe he'd be good.

The Euros really did him a big boost of confidence

Really unlucky today, what’s the odds of the same player slipping twice and we concede?

We shouldn’t have conceded from both slips if the players around were switched on.

Hopefully he doesn’t make this mistake again.

I would be fuming if I was him being given boots that are not fit for purpose. Could easily have cost us the game with an amateur mistake.

I'm pretty sure, like my wife, Cucurella let's no one but himself, select his own footwear.

He should never have started the game in strapy, loose fitting, kitten heels 👠

Yeah it's hard to be too critical of him given when he DID change the boots he didn't slip over again so it was obviously something not right there.

Carragher was being a proper w**ker about it. Cucurella maybe should have caught on that something was wrong in warm up, but even still, his best mate Gerrard had a few slips in his career and I bet he wasn't as hard on him.

Carra is a twat wanted us to lose because his statement at the start of the season about us is starting to look like one of those infamous statements that comes back to bite him in his arse.

Could you imagine if we beat them to the title after him slagging us off earlier!!

It was his worst game of the season by a million miles. And, he still made a helluva a lot of basic errors after his first two slips resulted in goals. Several missed interceptions he didn't have to go for. Got caught wrong side on counter-attacks because he was watching the ball. In high pressure situations he is sometimes incapable of slowing down, calming down,  and easing off the throttle. It simply isn't in his DNA.

That said, he has been excellent for most of this season so a 5 out of 10 performance today isn't the end of the world for him. Hair and heels. How can you not like him?
