Sounds like mutual termination, not a pay off, is what is discussed, saving the MLS a transfer fee that the Galaxy can spend on wages.

February 9, 20233 yr As much as I feel PEA is not the right player for us as this stage, I was hoping that he will be given a chance to make things work. This is entirely on the club and shows how disjointed is it’s decision making and a vision for the future really is. Terrible treatment and decision to sign a player with no clear vision on how he will fit into the club.

Terrible treatment and decision to sign a player with no clear vision on how he will fit into the club. Much has changed since the Aug/Sep signings. A new structure and culture is in place creating stability. The summer signings missed the mark by quite a bit (hopeful Sterling, Fofana, and eventually Slonina, Chukwuemeka and Casadei work out), but don’t think that defines our future. January shows the structure now in place - probably best to just cut our losses with PEA.
February 9, 20233 yr Reports we are covering his entire salary whilst on loan. Is he that bad an influence in the dressing room?

Where can he still go on loan this season, transfer windows are closed everywhere I think. He has a 2 year contract if I'm not mistaken, so it would be for the 2023-24 season. Edit: just read that the transfer window in Turkey closes today. Better get a move on Edited February 9, 20233 yr by Valerie

February 10, 20233 yr what happened to him? he starts his chelsea journey quiet well, score a few goals and then he almost dissapear send him loan and cover all wage for 4 months don't make any sense to me, tbh we give him 3 years contract and we want ride him after six months? what a pathetic mess
February 16, 20233 yr A good summary: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/feb/16/graham-potter-doing-chelsea-no-favours-ignoring-aubameyang
February 17, 20233 yr yeah our best potter form was with him playing and score a few goals after that we implode
April 8, 20233 yr I guess his performance today when he was brought on might remind everyone why he was, (quite rightly), left out by Potter.

Still doesn't excuse Havertz being allowed to stink up the pitch for 90 minutes week after week. Not in the slightest. I also wouldn't hold it too much against him when Aubameyang hasn't stepped on a football pitch since January.

Maybe not but like with the Alonso/Emerson situation, Auba shows pretty much every time he enters the pitch why Kai still gets persisted with despite his rut just like Emerson did with Marcos. I'm all for Nkunku coming in and taking his place but Auba or especially god for bid Lukaku would make an already brutal situation even worse.

I have seen with my eyes Havertz dribbling out of play under no pressure. I have seen Havertz trip over his own feet in the box. I have seen Havertz ruin countless of attacking plays with his slow possession play. I have seen Havertz squander a magnitude of attacking chances because the bloke can't finish his dinner. I have seen Havertz display zero awareness nor any forethought on his offside positioning. Please expand on what you have seen from Aubameyang, in the miniscule amount of game time he's had, that is worse than what we have seen from Havertz.

It's ridiculous it's come to this but the fact Havertz is even getting into these positions to miss those chances alone puts him above Auba, how many big chances has Auba even had since he scored in Milan? I can genuinely only think of two of the top of my head. It's not just what he's done here but also at the end at Arsenal, at the time i thought it was Arteta's defensive tactics stifling him.
April 10, 20233 yr Unfair to judge any player when he's played this little since the November break for the World Cup :

I personally think that's becoming a false narrative given the extraordinary game time difference between the pair. Havertz has a goal contribution every 400 minutes when you exclude penalties. Aubameyang 220 minutes and has only started 5 league matches all season. Seems Potter was just never willingly to play a ST so it isn't surprising Brighton fans claiming Potter had a fetish of spamming the pitch with attacking mids and no actual ST. Auba was genuinely fantastic at Barcelona, and from Arsenal fans' perspective and the all or nothing documentary it seems the genuine consensus of the falling out was Aubameyang leaving to visit his mother and not coming back on the club's requested date. He wasn't allowed to train with the first team since then. We are 11th for a reason, and we need to start recognizing the persistent factors leading to this drastic fall. A suicidal reliance on Havertz being arguably the biggest one. Edited April 10, 20233 yr by Sconnie Blue
April 10, 20233 yr He actually looked pretty decent at Barcelona before joining us. Their fans didn't seem to have a problem with his performances IIRC. Neither did their manager.
