You write some weird stuff.

Very very few managers come into a club wanting to keep 33 year olds from old regimes.

They're usually the players new managers try to move on to bring in their own signings.

If Boehly was even considering sacking Tuchel he's clearly an even bigger idiot than he's come across all summer for authorising this transfer.

I'm fairly certain tuchel wouldnt want to keep Auba much more than 12 months as first choice either. Auba was a good signing for a cheap short term fix as you say, he's better than our other options

Does anyone actually still want him at the club?

He's better than what we have but he was clearly a Tuchel signing and in the last few days he's spent longer getting mugged and having his mask fitted than getting to play under Tuchel.

Absurd decision to back the manager in signing his players then sack him after they've played 60 minutes.

This is a bit out of character for you. Whilst your posts may be vitriolic upon occasion they are normally pretty close to being bang on the money.

Whilst his performance last night was strange and he clearly should not have been on the pitch yet, I am convinced that he is still the only bloke at the club capable of scoring more than a handful of goals this season. Whether he does or not, time will tell, but even at 33 he is still head and shoulders above most, if not all, of the attacking players that we have.

I'm not talking about from a supporter perspective.  As long as someone has 2 legs they're an upgrade on Ziyech and Pulisic and therefore have a place in the frontline.

I'm talking from a management perspective, what manager wants to inherit a 33 years old who has has a history of attitude problems? The last manager who inherited Auba was Arteta and be binned him sharpish due to his attitude.  A player that throgh no fault of his own had just gone through a traumatic life event and was injured/ expected to be out for weeks when he signed meaning he can't contribute as quickly as the other options avaliable to us.

What owner would want to invest in a player like that?

Would Auba himself have even wanted to come without Tuchel here?

Auba as a signing only made sense because of his great record and relationship with Tuchel and the manager being very keen to bring him in over other options like Depay, Zaha, Ronaldo, Toney etc

According to Ornstein the decision to sack Tuchel was made before last nights game so Boehly had made that decision before Auba even donned the shirt and the mask.

It's just an absolutely shocking decision from Boehly to have Tuchel operate as chief scout and solely go after his targets if he's not committed to him or willing to give him time with the players he picks.

What I think he means, and I think he's right, is that Auba was signed because Tuchel wanted him. Why back him with his signings and then sack him less than a week afterwards? What if the next coach does not want to use Auba? Bizarre behaviour from Boehly.

Auba sucks.

I think the problem is our scouts needs to watch them on TV first, because it's pretty obvious when we see them on TV, maybe they get the scouts pissed up beforehand or drug their hotel room door handle with LSD?

He'll be right. His movement was good and once we open up a bit and stop playing turgid nonsense he'll get more chances.

Cant see it myself, we don't get enough space for forwards to thrive, unless they are of certain quality and i think that boat has sailed with Auba.

Would of been less frustrating watching Werner tonight.

What do we expect from him though? We knew he was passed it from the end of his time at Arsenal.

We also know he only came here because he wanted to play for TT again. So what motivation does he have left?

Good finisher but never get the chance to finish, either due to his own poor movement or lack of services. It's funny, we either get Werner who usually finds himself in good positions but mess up the final shot, or good finishers who can't get to the end of anything. To be honest, I'm starting to miss Werner, we don't even have a player who could pass or cross in the final third in this team.

Honestly I feel sorry for him. After the horror he and his family were put through he sees something to at least offer a bright spot while he helps his family recover.

He gets sold the vision of finishing his career under the manager he likes the most from his career, and then after a few days working for him he gets that run pulled from under him.

Think about it, would be like you get that last career move to work under delightful @Valerie only to see her sent packing by @loz and replaced with @Munkworth...

@loz wouldn't do that to me, he adores me, in fact prays at an altar dedicated to me

Going out on a limb here, but Boehly probably didn't worship Tuchel. Boehly looks like he devours a cow a day, whereas Tuchel just licks the crumbs off a cracker wrapper.
