It’s not always the strikers fault here. You need to buy someone that match your system. I don’t think all of the strikers are bad look at Aubameyang @ Barca = a lot of goals, Sterling @ man city = goals and Lukaku @ Inter= goals. they all have someone that see their runs and understand the game = vista. ( pedri, debruyne, Brosovic and Barella. we have Mason and Jorginho 🙄. So we don’t need more attackers but a good midfielder.

We certainly need someone that can provide a good forward ball besides Reece James.
January 11, 20233 yr Barcelona sniffing around but only on a free transfer. I’d almost rather keep him than let them have him for free 6months after giving them 15m
January 11, 20233 yr Sell him to us for £15m, then 5 months later get him back for free? That would be classic Barcelona.

You can’t blame them because we were stupid to pay 20mil instead of buying midfielder and now we buy another new attacker felix ( kai, lukaku, werner, pulisic, sterling, auba and Felix) midfilder bought after jorginho and kante and kov( …………) none

Well Benfica is that club that always ask too much for average player. Some clubs are desperate and gave in to their demands. benfica got 100euro for average striker, 120 mil for Jao felix,

Nunez as a 22 year old had 30+ goals prior to Klopp signing him, it's not that different from us signing Lukaku from Inter as both are targetmen that changed clubs right after a PR season. It's not that much different from us wanting to go for one of the key players of Argentina that just won the World Cup, they are in the CL knockout stage too and in high hopes of winning the league so Enzo having a high buyout clause, it is doing its intended purpose for Benfica. Benfica taking the full advantage of the situations they found themselves in the transfer market is how we did when we sold Hazard to Real Madrid so can't blame them... January 11, 20233 yr We’ve f*cked up massively selling Giroud. His legs may have gone but he was still starting for France last World Cup ahead of Benzema and he’s miles better than whatever we got now. We should have kept Abraham too, he’d be a decent squad player.

February 6, 20233 yr This thread is a snapshot of how much Chelsea fans care about PEA. Prior to my post here, the last post on the thread was Jan 12. Since then he has been dropped from UCL squad, dropped from Fulham match day squad, given the weekend off and turned up in Milan. Now linked with Barca, Milan and Athletico. We (the collective shed end) simply don't seem to give a toss....just shows what an awful and pointless signing he was. Shame - I really want to like him after he gave his shirt to my boys in Abu Dhabi - just doesn't look like it will happen!
February 6, 20233 yr Wonder if he'd take mutual termination of contract. Probably on pretty good money so will have to buy him out early, let him go for free elsewhere in the summer. Poor signing, we must move on.
February 6, 20233 yr He is just another victim of chelsea “no goals permitted “ policy. We have several players who scored goals for other clubs.
February 6, 20233 yr Signed for a manager we knew we were going to sack. The last of a list of permanent disaster signings that made us weaker in that summer window. Every one an expensive failure.

Be happy Fabrizio said yesterday that barcelona want him back in the summer . I geuss theywant only to pay 5 m or free and let us pay half his wage. Boehly will do that. 🙁 smart of Barca.
February 6, 20233 yr Still the best #9 option on our books. Would probably do will with the better service he'd likely get from all the new signings. He was in the line up when we had our only good run of results this season, scoring 3 goals in 4 games, Potter though has decided he is persona non grata so he's done with us. Good luck to him wherever he goes next.
February 6, 20233 yr Rumours are we are discussing a mutual termination of Aubas contract that would allow him to go to the MLS right away and sign a big deal with Los Angeles Galaxy. Would be a fit to FFP with all the rest of his fee due right on termination.

What did we pay? £11mill? All of which would need to be accounted for now. But we would also save 6 months worth of salary - at approx £170k per week, which equals about £4.4million. So still a hit - but not that bad. It would probably be more cost effective to loan him, without a fee - so that we could still amortise the fee, whilst still lose the wages.
