Di Santo however does not get a mention. The Shed End agreed with you both (although apparently I voted for Kalou):

September 5, 20223 yr Aubameyang is a much better footballer than I recalled. Just watched a bunch of his Arsenal highlights. I realize that’s only the good stuff but some of his touches and hold up play will fit in quite nicely in our system. He’s at least as good as Havertz in that regard. Miles better than Lukaku. Just won’t offer the pressing that Kai does, which I think is fine for now.

September 5, 20223 yr I believe he'd be up for the challenge, after years away from CL playing for his beloved Arsenal, he'd want make a statement at the biggest stage.

For me our best from 3 has sterling on the left, auba in front and havertz on the left.

September 6, 20223 yr Just now, Mod said: Looked crap, early days! Looked unfit and unready, why he started ahead of Broja is beyond me.

September 6, 20223 yr We are just a team that has players who generally don’t do well on their debuts. Other teams seem to have MOTM performances or even goals but we normally have players where nothing goes right for them. Surprised he started today TBH, expected him to maybe come on for the last 20 minutes all things considered. Reminded me of when we started Torres on his debut against Liverpool where the odds was stacked against him having a good match. Lets hope he can get on the scoresheet soon before the confidence drops to Werner levels.

September 6, 20223 yr Its only taken Sterling 1/2 dozen games to blend in with the invisible front line, Auba seems to be ahead of schedule ! Edited September 6, 20223 yr by General

Tuchel presumably thought today would be an easy run out and a great way to get Aubameyang some match fitness. Then again it was one of many poor decisions made by Tuchel today.

It really was quite amazing to see such an offensive side, no Jorgi, no DM, Chilwell and James our best offensive wingbacks, Kova a playmaker, Mount, Sterling, Havertz and Auba all play and we create next to nothing. I mean how does that even seem possible? I get the mess up on the goal bit how are we not scoring a hatful or making their keeper look like Cech at least?

PEA won't stop scoring a few games in!
September 7, 20223 yr I read when he signed that he wouldn't play for up to 3/4 weeks , so we get him a mask and throw him in . We got what we deserved , let him recover , get fit ,blend with the team and he may have a chance of being the striker we want him to be. No more panic sh*t
September 7, 20223 yr Clearly not match it, on a normal day that cross from Havertz should have been a goal if he just made the run in between the defenders. Only way to get fitter is train and play, expect better this Saturday.
September 7, 20223 yr Does anyone actually still want him at the club? He's better than what we have but he was clearly a Tuchel signing and in the last few days he's spent longer getting mugged and having his mask fitted than getting to play under Tuchel. Absurd decision to back the manager in signing his players then sack him after they've played 60 minutes.
