Dyche has got Everton more organised in one game that Potter has with us in 5 months

Potter did great for us when he started. It means f**k all.

Our fans on here are so depressing, no optimism.  Might need to take a break for a bit from this forum.

Get behind the team, the manager, have a bit of hope. We had the better chances yesterday against a team that is functioning really well, we still don't have the midfield Potter wants but Enzo looks class, actually all the signings this Jan look quality and are young - with a different manager maybe we'd have seen us go after Dumfries and Weghoust and see them stink up the joint on high wages.

The defence is looking solid, we just need to unlock the final 3rd and we've got time to do that until next year when the challenge really begins.

Lots of reasons to be excited.

I say if it gets any worse over the next few games, or when our midfielders come back we should get rid and get an interim for the rest of the season. Then see who is available in the summer to take on the project.

The season is a write off, but there's absolutely no reason for this team to be finishing so far away from the top 4.

No manager was ever going to find it easy this season, but Potter can't seem to cope with any adversity at all. And I've never seen any evidence to suggest he can make this team a great team if we just back him.

Part of the reason we never had sustained success in the league is due to are sporadic manager changes.  We need patience if we want a long term stability.  Pep and Klopp have had that and it shows in the consistency of their league positions, whereas as we are either champions or way off.

I think some managers like Dyche, Conte etc have an instant impact due to their simple football style.  Arteta and Peps style are more complex and take time to adapt to.  I think Potter is in the same category.

Is Potter the right man? I don’t know but we will probably have to wait 2 years to find out given the owners plans, or we are back to the rollercoaster merry go round.

We thought a point away at Liverpool was decent but Wolves showing us how to play them.

In order to win games we need to score goals, and we have been toothless. 2 shots on target at home to Fulham? Is a joke but it is recurring joke. We take on shots, we had 10 against Fulham but the accuracy is shocking.

Judge Potter when the full squad is available. Particularly our CMs.

Think with just Kovacic and Zakaria back we will see a massive improvement. If not, questions need answering.

Speaking of which, we hear Kante should be available in early March. What about Kova? Zakaria? And will that means Mount is dropped?

Kovacic hopefully.

I don't see him starting a Ben Chilwell who managed 8 minutes only nor starting DDF and dropping both Havertz and Mason.

Until Zakaria is fit Chalobah should be our DM to give Enzo freedom. Kova is not a DM.

I certainly think pressure will keep coming if results like yesterday continue. The ownership will want results. Pretty much all of our players are back in the mix now, so fortunes must change. We have kind fixtures approaching (including last night) and on paper we should be winning the next 5 games given the quality we have now.

Moreso speaking the midfield and attack is what I’d like to see. Kovacic has played in the pivot and understands the role in the build up phase.

Sympathy for Potter will be gone if the same underperformers continue playing. Simple as.

I hope but wonèt be surprised if we see Ziyech and Havertz, for whatever reason those two have Potter at gun point and he won't drop them

I'm not sure it's fair to say Ziyech has Potter at gun point.

Hakim spent all January trying to get away from Potter.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was Graham who sabotaged the paperwork so he could keep Ziyech in his starting 11.

I didn't.  The point at Anfield is one of the most embarrassing results we've had in years.

Liverpool were that bad that day, they got beat 3-0 by Brighton the week before, 3-1 by Brentford the week before that  3-0 by Wolves today and they were worse against us than in all of them.

I'd have fancied any team in the league to beat them comfortably but we simply don't score goals under Potter regardless of the opposition

5 in our last 12

Well yeah, even Potters biggest supporters I doubt would say keep him on if we finish this season, next season, and 24/25 in middle table and no trophies. Though I could be wrong on that.

He has got the defence playing well, Badiashile has slotted in well and, for the most part, Kepa has been really, really good.

But can Potter solve the problem he has had for 3 and a half seasons in forming a cohesive, constant attack?

It’s annoying me because he had a ruthlessness about him at Brighton when players were underperforming. Hell, he even showed a bit of that by benching Koulibaly and Aubameyang.

With Felix back you’ll hope Potter starts making the right decisions, and have a bit more faith in Fofana vs the sinking ship that is Kai Havertz.

Maybe he is trying to get Kai to function? Knowing he has no Auba nor DDF for the CL? If Kai gets injured I guess Sterling plays CF...

If Kai has to play neither Mount or Gallagher should be on the pitch imo.
