Sky did a video about how Chelsea fit them in. I think it’s fine as Mudryk, Badishille and Madueke are under 22.

Yeah that sky guy was wrong.

A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 2001 and since his 15th birthday has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years, or a total of three consecutive years with a maximum of one loan period to a club from the same association for a period not longer than one year.

With the amount of money spent, it's only natural for the owner and fans expect immediate improvement on the field. I don't think this is no longer a 5 year 'build like Brighton' type of project, results must improve to mitigate the risks of spending so much so quickly. Potter's job will get a lot harder in a way with all the players at his disposal, and I don't think asking for patience will get much sympathy. We will hear the usual names of Jose, Conte being talked up as the next manager in the media if results don't improve quickly.

Anybody that knows anything about football knows that you don't just 'throw together' a load of good players and immediately you are a great team!!  Thankfully it looks like the powers that be realise this (for a change) and will give Potter the time and the players to do his job.

Given the signings we’ve made, what are you expecting from Potter for the rest of the season?

I think top 4 is gone now but I’m expecting a much improved second half of the season. No excuses. We might be able to have a close run at top 4 but I think the gap is too much. 5-6th.

Even without the signings we would have been much improved AS LONG AS OUR INJURIES SUBSIDED that is,  now Potter can use the rest of this season getting the best of the 'old boys' blending play with the 'new boys', by the time next season starts we should be in a much better place.  I hope an pray James stays healthy, he is a MASSIVE cog in our machine even with the substandard rubbish that (some) have been around him we looked so much better with him in the team.

Basing on his press conference, I have a feeling that one of Felix/Mudryk will miss out on the CL registration. Wesley Fofana doesn't seem ready at all to play again, and while KK could maybe do a job in Europe, if he gets injured then we have no one else but Chalobah to cover.

If I had to make the decision, I'd leave Felix out, considering he's only on loan and may just be a stop gap for us till we get Nkunku. Badiashile, Enzo and Mudryk will be more essential towards a title campaign than having to play KK/Trevoh as main CBs in a potential clash against Madrid/PSG/City.

That sounds like a sensible approach to me.

If Felix had stayed at Atletico for the second half of the season he wouldn't have been playing any more European football anyway LOL

Even with the players we have signed, I see no chance of top 4 from here. There is too much ground to gain. I full expect an upwards trajectory though and if we end the season any lower than 6th, then Potter has failed.

Tuchel managed to close a similar gap at this stage of the season, whilst deep into the FA Cup and the Champions League. We aren't in the FA Cup, I think aynthing short of narrowly missing top 4 or a deep run in the Champions League (semi final) would be a failure given the level of investment.

We at least need to be in the top 4 form wise from now till the end of the season. If we're still maintaining Europa League/mid table form by the end of the seaso, then I think his position has to be under consideration.

I have backed Potter and continued to do so, but I also accept that we have kind fixtures coming up. Even the Tottenham game is winnable given how they've looked and the need to beat them to get a chance at top four. Even I admit that given what we've spent and the quality brought in, along with the players returning from injury, we have to start looking convincing.

Can we ditch Aubameyang for David Fofana?

Definitely you have to start the players who are yours and you spent huge money on. Felix technically isn't and probably won't be here in the Summer.

if Felix isn't in the CL squad I'd be absolutely shocked. It would be a huge waste of money to sign someone just to help us get from 10th to 6th in the league.

If only.

Well it's half right, we've deregistered aubameyang from the CL squad apparently.

Honestly not suprise with Potter decision. This imo will give us the best chance in cl.

Badi has shown that he is probably better than kk but kk is still very good in cl. More importantly, I think Felix can be the difference maker in cl.

It also would be insane if we spend however many on millions on Felix just for PL games. Can't believe anyone thought that was an option.

Not surprised badi misses out as we are covered at CB with players already registered so probably the only decision he could take

even though I think him an Thiago are our best partnership

Show how poor he has been that our only fit natural striker is dropped in favour of attacking mids and wingers

He hasnt been any poorer than other players. How often has he had to play or start a match
