Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea Manager

Featured Replies

You guys thinking Nagelsmann is a risk and overrated.

i doubt you feel the same if he’s still at Bayern. He could even be a dream coach for you lot. Just because he was sacked and easily attainable all of a sudden he isn’t it.

Fabrizio confirmed that Bayern still hold Nagelsmann contract and want compensation for him.

What's the betting they case for their 20mill euros back?

How is this even legally feasible? Shall we seek compensation for Potter too?

Nagelsmann has had an outstanding career to date. Even at Bayern where he was sacked, he didn't do that badly. They won the league last year and were only 1 point off top when he was sacked. Not to mention their form in the Champions League has been outstanding this season. In fact Bayern have only lost 3 games all season across all competitions. I can only assume he fell out with some of the players.

With Vivell as Sporting Director he would seem to be a logical target. The 2 enjoyed a successful partnership at RB Leipzig. Question is whether we will be rinsed by Bayern for some compensation, and also whether he is willing to join. Some articles in the press suggest that he isn't interested.

You lot? Who's your club then?

Is legal cause Napoli did the same. They kept paying Sarri looking for compensation. Bayern have not terminated Nagelsmanns contract, they just replaced his as head coach. They are still paying him his wages.

Supposedly Bayern are still paying his wages. He has been relieved of his duties but they haven't paid off his contract. They are probably hoping that Nagelmann's next club will do that.

Yeah I have heard that reported as well. He is supposedly speaking to people close to the club, as well as getting advice back home, whether we are too much of a risk to his career, and he needs the next move to be right after Bayern dumped him.

This the right way to look at it. He was even a preferred choice before we hired TT back then. He did well. But just because he’s now available suddenly people have this thinking that he’s not worth it because the logic is that if one is available he mustn’t be that great. Everyone wants the unattainable like De Zerbi. Seriously what has De Zerbi done to have such high regards?

sacking Tuchel and while clamouring for Potter as the next best english manager

And not wanting Nagelsmann now

the heart wants what it can’t have rings true here.

@Zeta broke it here before sky sports news, I think he knows things!

Maybe my hopes are coming true and the club already approached @Zetafor his availability to take over from Potter. Would explain how he knew first. 🤔

I doubt there’s anything they can do to hold his next club to anything. It is between Bayern and Nagelsmann. His next club will contract him on a new contract and they can’t do anything about it except still owe him any outstanding payment. They breached the contract by sacking him there’s nothing they can hold anyone to or pass on their liability of payments to anyone else.

I don't know about nagelsman long term but alt least the football won't be boring, Nagelsmann like to play narrow, super crazy, super high press, and super offensive (I wrote super three times not by mistake because it is that  crazy).

Yet managed 2 clean sheets vs PSG. Surley that shows he knows something about organizing a defence...I hope.

I didn't watch those games so I can't comment but I watched his Leipzig team twice and his Bayern team once and it was crazy.

I am all about crazy for short term. I have enough of this defensive possesion sideway passes to nowhere.

Never felt so relieved to see the back of a manager. That was a major blip.

I want Jose back purely for sentiment and because he knows how to build a team, cue all the little rollie eyes but I don’t care I would love to see it, at the very least until we get a long term manager.

Nagelsmaan’s age, experience and style of play make him the obvious candidate for a long term project, not opposed to him at all.

What I don’t want is this Bruno guy until the end of the season.

What’s sad is if you had your pick of any coach in world football right now you would likely have TT in your top 3. Back to square one.

I agree. Mourinho on 2 year contract then let him go and manage Portugal for the 2026 World Cup. The first thing he will do is stop this losing at home nonsense, and then he will transplant some testicles on some of our players.
