Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea Manager

The entire summer was a joke from them. Instead of taking a step back and learning, they went in all guns blazing, spending ridiculous money on mid players, chasing after lost causes. It just made them and the club look stupid. Sacking Tuchel and replacing him with Potter at the end was the worst ending to what was a terrible summer for the club. I don't know who was advising them during that period or if it was just them going on their own arrogance, but it really hurt the club, destroyed our season and now we have to pick ourselves back up all over again and pray we can get back on track.

Agreed. It was never revealed who advised Boehly to go for Potter at the time. Being that he wasn't a big name in international football I highly doubt Boehly would have taken that gamble without some 'expert' advice. I do remember several football people (including John Terry) were big proponents of the move at the time though.

This is still very much on the owners for me.

Where do we think Potter will turn up next. Possibly not one of the top 5 clubs in European football. And there is a delicious irony to us signing Nagelsmann, and that's nothing on Oolian as that pretentious tw@t Kaveh Solekhol has started calling him, who has been sacked and replaced by the guy at he we binned off, and who is now in a prime position to make another CL final.

No surprise there with their Red Bull Leipzig connection. Apparently Bayern still have Nagelsmann under contract and would require compensation so that may be an issue in the short term. we may well complete the season with Bruno.

Looking at our run in, I would go with an interim, then at least the new manager should inherit the bloated squad issue, and hopefully gets a squad where the players actually want to be there.

Doesn’t Nagelsmann also have a bizarre fascination with playing no wingers or STs and just flooding the pitch with attacking mids?

All I hear is worrying things.

I only saw Bayern play Leverkusen and they looked awful

I'd be more confident about Amorim or De Zerbi, though I think Nagelsmann is 100% coming next so may as well get behind him.

Thankfully it looks like we may take our time with the appointment. Have now until the end of the season.

Nagelsmann just screams frustration.

Genuinely curious about the worrying things. Out of all the managers we are linked with him alongside Enrique are the ones I'd personally prefer

I think we are going the Nagelsmann route...he is a bit of a weirdo...and will be at helm for maximum of 2 seasons. I guess that is still more than 7 months...

Sounds like he would fit right in then. When was the last time a manager lasted more than 2 years here?

As soon as he was peer-pressured into swearing you knew the jig was up. What an absolute mess from top to bottom, glad it’s all over and a penny for the thoughts of some of the people on here who genuinely thought they’d get a “told you so” moment in favour of Potter.

Good decision I’m afraid. The last straw was sitting at the ground yesterday seeing that team sheet.

Then after all the decision having another left back playing LCB and still taking corners!!

surprised about Bruno, no managerial experience. No different to having JT in charge. I’ve met Bruno and seen him play a lot of games. He’s was a very technical right back and obviously understands the game well. The big question is always can an ex pro take to management and the big decisions that go with it.

I look forward to cheering him on against the dippers.

I wish him all the best in his future. He's a good manager, but it was too big a job at the wrong time. Ludicrous contract too.

I'm just glad Todd obvious read theshedend forum and came to his senses.

Nagelsmann looks an obvious contender, Zidane is also out of work at the minute. We shall see.

Obviously, take this with a grain of salt since they aren't a well-known journalist but if it is true it is good to know that some of the footballing people are making decisions.

Imo Nagelsmann being available has made this happen. This is a clear indicator we will push for him now. It is a well pointed out point Todd and co love the RB model.

Assuming everyone has seen the BBC article on the sacking?, they are gutted he’s gone 😅 “less than 7 months” to reiterate our impatience in the headline title, “despite previous record of success” when you scroll down I kid you not, surely they are just taking the piss at this point.

Sell me then. Truth be told I’m ignorant on Nagelsmann and don’t know anything other than what my Bayern mates tell me.

They were gleefully repeating the "give him time" motto. Don't know how the pundits could keep a straight face.

We'll probably end the season 50 points behind Lego head's Arsenal. Disgrace

Not sure who we bring in now. There's no replacement lined up.

Just give it to Saltor till the season's over, we shouldn't rush in for Nagelsmann in my opinion. Better to make an informed decision in the summer
