Liverpool and Brighton are in this together, driving the price up, driving us mad to gazump Liverpool at all costs.

Walk away Renée

Very Eni Aluko take but it could be the case to give Pool and Brighton a free run at their targets.

Overrated? Nah

Expensive? Nope

Final piece in the jigsaw? HELL YEAH

Klopp said it was a done deal ahahahaha we made them look like fools. 😎😎😎

We don't come out of this looking great, but Liverpool look worse. Last through the door at the orgy, first to ejaculate (into their own face).

and that would be Klopp?

Not familiar with the scenario myself. Do tell.

First the Greco-Roman wrestling, now this.

I'm on record as saying the money doesn't seem right. (and didn't at 90... 130 or whatever is highway robbery)

But he is a quality player that's for sure.

This is about right.

The money is absurd. The player seems good.

Why would we now go 15-20m over what Liverpool accepted

He was over rated and over priced this morning

He still is. Hopefully the it’ll be us matching their fee and nothing more. £90-110m is too much. £120-130m is simply laughable.

I’ve read that Brighton want Adams though. Could be funny to see how it all ends. Let’s say we offer £100-110m but with a deal of giving up on Adams and letting him go to them. Could be some sort of win-win. They’ll get a player for cheap that in reality was no longer on the market while we get our man - still massively overpaid.

Then we’d just need to scoop Lavia away from Pool as well, and I’d call it a day.

For 125m we could have bought Independiente and had a constant stream of Caicedo's for the next ten years.

Not trying to dull the mood of hilarity but we have other business that needs to be concluded this window as well. We have just gon all in with another 35 - 40m.

We have sailed past FFP and gone straight on to FFS.

Someone said it well..maybe Liam Twomey... that what ever happens, Brighton wins big here. Liverpool or Chelsea is robbed in a clear daylight either financially or one team is massively short on talented midfielders

Well, yes, Brighton have a boyhood fan as the owner and he has to get the best deals for the club he supports .

Roman could afford to spend what he liked to the point of a £1.5 billion debt.

As we know, Brighton have no problem taking our money ,.they don't need to sell anyway, it's up to us to convince them , they are not pleading with us to take him

Brighton's owner has a net worth of 1.3 billion. He's not paying out of his own pocket for letting caicedo leave for his preferred destination CFC for a 100 mill. He's got the price he wanted from us and still behaving like a cheapskate. That's the difference.
