Looks like both sides will pay more to get the deals done, which suits our owners because the pure profits thing ( again). I think Felix is a good player, whether he's the right player for us maybe a different story. He had a go with Barca, which would be perfect for him, didn't yield much either. Not saying he's declining, but he's not proving his value either. Looking at the game today, Neto has to come off the bench, and then you got the likes of Sterling, Mudryk etc. Where's Felix will fit in? He's not here to play as a sub.

If our wingers are going to play a little more centrally than we previously expected under Maresca then LW would be a perfect place for Felix.

It would, but if maresca is going to continue with Fernandez as number 10. That means this season we would have, felix, Enzo, palmer, nkunku, Neto, mudryk, madueke, sterling and Carney for 6 positions. I’d say even KDH would be considered to be an option there. That’s far too many players there especially when if Fernandez is playing there then we’ve only got Caicedo and Lavia as midfield options. This is a signing that screams luxury signing.

... We lost predictably to Man City yesterday... But I must say, we played well.. and the movement of the ball, combinations, and slick passing was impressive. My concern was Enzo playing in the number 10 position. To be honest I have not seen what the hype was about him.. he was poor playing as a ten yesterday both in the defensive and offensive part of his play. I believe Felix will be a better option to him as a 10 with Latvia and Caicedo playing in the pivot

Nkunku should 100% be the 10 with Neto on the left.  Enzo should be deeper.

I think he is 100% coming here to be a sub, especially in the league. Will start some conf league and cup games but in my opinion those will be spot starts.

Can’t wait till it dawns on our fans that we are stuck with him for 7yrs.

It's OK, tiktok and twatter bellends will love all his useless spins and drag backs that lead to absolutely nothing of substance.

There we go then, penultimate signing of the summer I’d imagine, maybe last if we can’t get a proper forward sorted.

Genuinely just glad it’s coming to an end and hope he can do well. Another that im sure will pay the price for the players he’s perceived to have replaced/enabled to leave by some fans, let’s hope he can prove them wrong

Liked him last time so happy with the signing. Looking at our squad I think i'm more worried about the away games v Everton, Brentford and the likes than comparably better sides like Villa though. Lot of pretty players, not a lot of fighters...

And seven year deal is a major risk to be honest. He had a really poor time at Barcelona.

Never go back they say to an ex, Or people just remember him when he was here before and didnt think it was worth a second coming. Barca didnt fancy a second bite and Atletico have been trying to move him on to all sundry for about two and a half years. Welcome to the surreal world of Chelsea once more player 42C... Riped to be sold in 2026.

Felix is better than Neto.  The question [for me]  is why did we sign Neto? AND if we have gone with Felix and Neto - which we have.  What does that mean for Sterling and Mudryck and Madueke?

Given a regular epl season we need 5 wingers..so you are right could be curtains for 2 of them .. unless our default formation is similar to how we finished against city..

that will make it  4 positions for 8 players.

- Jackson / Guiu /nkunku

- Mudryk / Neto

- Palmer / Felix / nkunku

- madueke / Palmer / Neto

🤣🤣🤣

We have imbeciles running our club.

As much as we all have different opinions of things NO ONE on the forum could take £1 billion + and make the team that won the CL worst.

Even if we all tried it would be impossible for us to do it because none us would be this STUPID!!

Oh yes he is. . .

Panto aside.

I think Felix is better than Neto.  Mr.Felix scores more goals and creates more assists.  Has more ability.  More positional flexibility and he is taller.

I don't think he is, he certainly doesn't score or create more. He looks nice on the ball, but rarely actually produces anything.
