Félix is a terrible footballer and if anybody in our leadership structure thinks this is a good idea they should be sacked immediately.

Wait he's a Gaul? Explains a lot.

You must have missed the latest from internetfootballtwat.com; he was recently opining that Asterix wasn't all that: "if it wasn't for Obelix covering in the half-space"...

Not best pleased about this deal happening as i'm sure you'll all know.

If it is done, we need to ship out two wingers at a minimum.

Sterling for his wages and Noni for value most likely. Think we're stuck with Mudryk. Long season ahead.

I don’t see us signing Felix as a permanent player more a makeweight for the Gallagher PSR this year and then due to the name recognition likely a sale next year of Felix to Saudi/Turkey/Italy therefore making it essentially a season loan to accomadate the other deal.

I think both Sterling & Chilwell will be nudged out this upcoming week due to the wages.

I can see it now.  After standing around looking important for 60 minutes Felix final gets the ball and produces a lovey looking flick to nobody.  The ball falls kindly to Jackson who get his feet tangled and trips over the ball knocking the ball into the path of Mudryk who run at a tremendous pace straight into the opponents defender.  The ball then ricochets kindly to Sterling who runs into the exact same defender this time the ball loops over the defence and Neto connects with a beautiful volley right into the back of the net followed by his leg which fell off in the process.   Wild celebrations at Stamford bridge as Neto is stretchered off the pitch.  An Incredible goal the kind only a billion pounds could make! Clearlake’s vision of total football is complete.

Lollllsss @ Murdyk running at tremendous pace...

If we loan players don't we still have to pay a proportion of their wages ?

I meant it more in the regard that yes we’ll sign him ‘permanently’ but more in the logic of selling on ASAP.

I don’t see Felix still being a Chelsea player this time next year, a 50M fee now amortised over 5 years, would we be able to get 40M for him next year? Quite possibly considering his age and name.

One of the few that’s happy with this. If the deal is  also £34-38M plus add ons, that’s also a good deal. Palmer, Nkunku, Neto and Felix in some rotated combination should deliver more goals.

We have a heavy schedule and like the idea of quality depth. Injuries are inevitable, and we can’t repeat last year with kids on the bench week and week (no disrespect intended). Of course the first step is to adress injuries, but again happy with this one.

Cue Felix moping around the pitch like he's playing walking football as we get beaten by Zwiviec Crzwizoceich in the Conference League.

We really shouldn't have to sign players to be able to sell our players, its the most brain dead logic from the powers that be i've ever seen.

Marina would have had a £60m deal for Gallagher tied up within a week of the window opening if we were adamant about selling.

Yeah, that’s a risk. It’s also tough to sign so someone if they haven’t succeeded at Madrid, Barca and Chelsea. But I still think he’s something that little bit different, and along with Palmer, Nkunku and Neto is exciting.

Here is the thing. Imho Mr.Felix is a very talented footballer. He is a better player than many of the players that we have. He is probably better than the Portuguese lad we just bought. Mr.Felix is better than Sterling, Mudryck and he is better than Madueke. Mr.Felix is most likely a better player than Nkunku.

But, this is again a very disruptive way to build a team. We now have to sell/loan some wingers/attacking midfield players. The season has already started. Building a good team is not about buying the best players you can and throwing them all together.  Look at the great teams over the years and they have some weak players – but those players were an integral part of the team. I am thinking of the Man Utd team that won the triple and they had Nevilles in the team. There were better players than the Nevilles.

I don’t even dislike Mr. Felix and I appreciate that he had a good time at Chelsea before. That he wanted to come back to Chelsea AND he took a wage cut in doing so.

We surely have to sell or move some players along?

I know there is alcoholics anonymous and cocaine anonymous . . . but is there an anonymous for football directors who are addicted to buying players?

Looks like both sides will pay more to get the deals done, which suits our owners because the pure profits thing ( again). I think Felix is a good player, whether he's the right player for us maybe a different story. He had a go with Barca, which would be perfect for him, didn't yield much either. Not saying he's declining, but he's not proving his value either. Looking at the game today, Neto has to come off the bench, and then you got the likes of Sterling, Mudryk etc. Where's Felix will fit in? He's not here to play as a sub.
