I know they cleared us out of players during the dressing room blitz but they took all the Muslim players, Sterling isn't Muslim! He would do well at Villa or someone, not sure why it has to be Saudi or Chelsea! Saudi because they have the big money and aren’t subject to PSR or FFP. Chelsea because he has 3 kids, loves London and being almost 30 he could easily do the Bogarde until he’s nearly 33 then retire.
August 19, 20241 yr I like him, out of the multitude of players we have seen at Chelsea under this owner ship, I would say only him, Nkunku, and Palmer have looked like quality players. I get he isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoy watching him play tbh, so I'm glad he is back. Would rather watch Felix than Sterling, Mudryk, Jackson, Madueke. Not sure how they all fit in, but I suppose you look at other teams who have 5/6 quality attackers, I guess it's a squad game now anyway. Still think Osimhen is the player we need though. Hopefully get that over the line, and then we can start winning football matches, so all the negativity e noise from outside stops, and we cannot back to bickering between ourselves.

I genuinely think that Carney, if truly injury free, will be that player. In the right environment I believe he has the ability to be a Bellingham level player. Sadly this place is not the right environment. I think the signing of KDH has ended Chukwuemeka's hopes this season. Really pointless signing, feels nearly as much as waste of resources as Sanchez. Hope Carney gets a loan though, as he will be worth that £40m with one good prem loan. Nice profit, which is what its about with alot of these players on the fringes or out on loan unfortunately.

Aye this @Modnobody else who could afford to match sterlings wages, City, Real, United, etc, would want him imo.

Do I think Felix is top drawer? No. Do I think he is better than Mudryk, Sterling, Enzo, Jackson, Dewsbury Hall, Ugochukwu etc etc etc etc, christ add another 10 names here...Yes I do. Where we end up trying to play him given we also have Nkunku, Palmer, Neto and a seeming need to make Enzo work, (christ we probably also have Freddy Adu, Hulk and Roger Milla) is beyond me. But that's not because he isn't good enough, it's because we have a transfer policy as carefully planned as..well just about and building built by the UK government on the past 200 years.
August 19, 20241 yr Joao Felix 🫣, the amount of stupidity in Chelsea organization at the moment is just unbelievable.
August 19, 20241 yr Let's hope Maresca find some technical reasons to fit him into the starting 11. Enzo, Caicedo and Palmer are undroppable, Jackson probably locks down his spot because there are no real challengers. So depends on the formation on the day, you basically got 2 spots for the likes of Nkuku, Sterling, Mudryk, Neto, Levia, KDH, Carney, plus a few more names I can't even spell 🫢 Like many said, we aren't that short of creativity in this team compared to Potter's era, we do lack legs and energy. I'm not aware Felix is a hard worker off the ball. But what do I know, 6+ 1 year deal works out to be 7-8M a year, so a farking win if you ask the owners.

Because of their fees? I don't buy that. Palmer isn't droppable now because he happens to be f**king good at what he does. If you're not then you're droppable. Plenty of big money players at many clubs have ended up benched because they haven't delivered. Totally get that it's harder for a manager if the owners have spunked 80,000,000 big mac meals to buy them but the manager ultimately keeps his well paid job or gets his well paid pay off based on results. And egos demand success so if they have to be dropped then they will be dropped.

One or two games in the name of rotation or rest could be done, but as soon as they are available they will be picked. You need a brave manager to go against the hierarchy to drop star players, do I see that in Maresca so far? I don't. But there's always the injury factor, which could help in some cases
August 19, 20241 yr Not that I dislike Felix, I just have no idea what the f**k is going on within this club and its transfer plan. I just don’t know. Nobody does.
August 19, 20241 yr Can’t help but think this is also about who we’re planning to get rid of. Sterling seems to be the main victim of the arrival of Neto and Felix. Not sure what this means for Madueke and Mudryk. I’d imagine we’d consider offers for either if they were serious bids. Personally, I like Madueke and would be inclined to keep him. Don’t know what he’s done to rub the Board the wrong way.
August 20, 20241 yr The more I think about it the more I think we might be playing 3 number 10s with 2 starting wide and drifting in. With 2 players behind. Mudryk looked better as a number 10 last season, and would probably benefit with pressure coming off him. palmer and nkunku are best as 10s. Paez and Estevao are of that mould. Neto is the only “true winger” who isn’t open to being sold but I think he can play that role. It might be the case that the first choice front 3 is a fluid mixture of 10s behind a striker, if we get a proper number 9, 3 of palmer, nkunku, Neto, felix, mudryk could be fun
August 20, 20241 yr One of our problem vs city is lack defending from the front line and we fix that by signing a new attacker who is allergic to defending 👍👍👍

August 20, 20241 yr Let’s hope he does better second time around because he might be deemed as an upgrade on mudrick & co but he showed very little on his very expensive loan. Mugs abound !
August 20, 20241 yr To be honest - I'm giving up. We are no longer buying players to improve the squad, just to do business with. If anyone here tells me that a swap for Conor to Felix makes footballing sense, i'll lose it. He was only marginally better than being a complete waste of space first time, I have seen nothing since to change my opinion, and neither have any of the other teams he has been touted to. Oh, and yeah, like we need another Mid/Wing in our squad. These yanks are dismantling our once great club. Know now how my Red Army mates have been feeling for the last 10 or so years. We are heading towards PL mediocrity/oblivion, I have no doubt.
