Yes, the player has the ultimate legal choice, but they are heavily invested and most feel highly indebted to agents. Some of the tactics that people like Mino Raiola etc are said to have used to acquire young players and influence them read like witness statements from victims of child abuse or domestic violence. The grooming, isolation and manipulation tactics are eerily similar and while footballers are well paid, we do well to remind ourselves that the vast majority come from very underprivileged backgrounds with no real agency. Agents are f**king scummy, their social media mouthpieces are complicit, and football needs to regulate them much more than it actually does. I fully agree with your post re how agents work - some of them really are the scum of the earth and exploit naive and helpless players as much as possible. Osimhen however, is not some 18-year old who moved from a village in Africa last summer. He’s been in Europe for seven years, and has changed agent three times as far as I can tell. He knows how it works, he just got too high on himself, tried to have his cake and eat it too and got burned. No sympathy points from me

Anyone of sound mind can see that Toney is an infinitely better player than the ugly one, in all aspects of the game. The only area they come close is causing controversy (betting vs being a desperate loser who was begging some tart for naked pics). Edited September 6, 20241 yr by nonotnowjim
September 7, 20241 yr Let him rot in turkey, if we want to spend big on a striker throw the fee at Jhon Duran or Gyokeres.

Yeah, I liked him less and less the more I read up on it. Jhon Duran looks good, the few times I've seen him play so far. But a slightly different style player I think. They have mentioned several times before, during and after the games, he's concentrated on sorting his attitude out since he's seen the rumours during the summer of an attitude issue. Maybe he was hoping to move clubs.
September 8, 20241 yr Big mistake from any player to not move to Chelsea! We may be down on our luck, but we will always come back.

October 4, 20241 yr What happens to Victor now? He is not short on confidence. He was never the right player for Chelsea imho. "I am worth more than €100 million," he said. "There are few players like me in the world who have achieved this style and this success. Everything is linked to my characteristics, to the things I do, to my quality. I think I deserve it. I'm aware of the contribution I make and what I can do, even in my private life. Do people think differently? Some say 15 million, others say 100-120-150. Everyone has different opinions."
October 4, 20241 yr Going to be interesting to see how the complete seasons of Victor, Samu and Jhon compare.

November 16, 20241 yr If he negotiates the deal himself, like with Gala, or hires an agent who puts his clients wishes first, I think he ends up singing for us in 2025.

But can he play instead of sing? 🤪😁🤣 Sry bud, had to. Lol But I agree, I think he wanted to come to chels instead of galatasaray, but his agent fkd up. If no other "major"* options/interested parties make a bid for him in Jan or summer, and we end up making a bid then I think he will definitely join us instead of staying there**. *Real, Barca, etc... **the muppet mikel definitely thinks so too. I hate how low he's gone in my eyes. Internet/youtube fame has gone to his head!!!
December 15, 20241 yr We dodged a bullet here. No way we should go for him. Wrong age, cost, and not sure he offers much over Jackson. Could disrupt things. Would prefer we persevere with Jackson and look for the next emerging striker.

Like Alexander Isak, he might get a few extra goals over a season, but nothing worth the 100m+ we'd surely have to pay. Of course, if he was available for <50m, and Nkunku left, I'd take him as a replacement.

I don't think we can rely on Jackson only once we play CL football next season inshaAllah.
December 15, 20241 yr Talk about a transfer that would come in and disrupt everything we are trying to build. Arrogant twat can stay in Turkey.
