Was pretty clear that we were miles apart from Osimhen's demands. Thats why I think the rumours are bo**ocks. Yeah we probably disagreed on wages but I’m not having we only offered 70k a week. People getting angry at the owners over this most likely nonsense low ball offer too. Isn’t Guiu on a similar wage?
August 31, 20241 yr He can still go to Saudi tomorrow as their window closes tomorrow night. He’ll be palmed off to another of the Saudi clubs (Toney took the last foreigner place) for a season on huge wages then sign for PSG. Napoli will be desperate to get him off their books that’s for sure.
August 31, 20241 yr No way we offered £70k. That will be a brief from Osimhens camp. Base wage at Napoli is about £300k. We probably went to about £200k. Probably shouldnt have signed KDH and just gave him a massive signing on fee.

Osimhen was pants against Madrid, and he’s got an ego the size of Lukaku. Who else is there as a quality, PL proven striker? I’d have gone tor Szmodics from Blackburn but had no PL experience, we will see how he fares at Ipswich. I'd have gone for Guirassy. Tall, fast striker that likes to drop and link up play, bringing in overlapping midfielders, but with a decent goal output as well. Was available with a release clause, I believe, of €18m. We didn't even try. 28 see, there's your problem. Got to think of the resale value. 15 million quid, think of the resale value! We paid £17m for Washington and struggled to sell him to ourselves. Clowns.

This must be exactly how he dreamt it unfolding for him. still with Ronnie Stutter getting a loan maybe he'll get more PL2 games now and these PR idiots can dress him up as the generational talent bs that they rolled out when we signed the lad.

We have seen it with Ben, is just a matter of time before Nkunku, Wes Fofana and Reece James are told they need to sign incentive based deals or will be forced out.
August 31, 20241 yr As Toney has signed for Al Hilal, does that leave Osimhen stuck at Napoli as second fiddle to Lukaku?

August 31, 20241 yr Yeah our striker situation isn't great, but I'm over the f**king moon we didn't sign this guy.

August 31, 20241 yr The only loser here is Osimhen. He’s been horribly advised since January. His agent needs sacking.

He doesn’t even have a squad number now, the number 9 has gone to Lukaku, will just be training with the u21’s until January basically. An absolute sh*tshow, that agent of his only has 4 clients, the guys a dinosaur for thinking he could manage Osimhen like it’s still 2010’s football landscape.

September 1, 20241 yr Still think he will be integrated once all the windows class this summer. Present stance is just to get him to accept a move to Saudi. Makes no sense sticking him in the u21s till Jan & watching him lose value. The €100m they were after is €65m presently, stick him in the u21s & they will be lucky to get €40m in Jan

The question is, when will he wake up to the fact that his agent has well and truly screwed him?
September 1, 20241 yr When is the deadline date for them to submit their squad? For us it's Sept 13th, not sure in rgds to Serie A. But they'll have until their deadline to ship him out. Agreed though, his agent is a donkey.
