Hopefully spend the season looking for a striker that actually wants to come and be part of what we are trying build. Sesko or Gyokeres would be the 2 players we should be looking at, let's just hope we get top 4, and we don't end up with a ban!

We should have act faster and get Sterling and Chilwell out like a few weeks ago and make space for at least one big earner. I know there is a new policy in terms of wages, but it's impossible that every player we approach gives in to our proposal and accepts our terms every time.

Di Marzio said a few minutes ago that Chelsea offered him 4M p/y plus another 4M in add-ons (2M if Chelsea qualify for UCL next season and another performance related bonuses for 2M). 

That's cheap to be honest. Nobody is going to go from over 300k guaranteed per week to little over 100K. This was a sh*t offer.

We were never in for Toney. No chance this ownership pay over £30m for a 28 year old. That leaked interest was strategy to push Osimhen. There's a reason it was only sky's Kaveh pushing that one.

For the same reason that they haven’t signed a better goal keeper and we’re going into the season with Sanchez as number 1. They are either useless or deliberately sabotaging a CL challenging club.

So we offer 4m a year when Saudi offering 4m a month? Suppose not much we can do really.

He's staying with Napoli, club would not pay his wage demands, offered $ 130K he wants much more

KDH £35m = £7m per season amortization.

£7m = ~£130k a week.

KDH wages ~ £70k a week (average squad wage)

£200k per week.

£10.4m per year for 5 years. 

but we couldn't afford to get close to Osimhens wages, reportedly £11m.

how can this happen. 

It’s one thing to lose out on Osimhen, but it’s something else to have negotiated ourselves into a corner where we don’t even have a back up plan. That takes some level  of incompetence. What a shambles! 

I quite hope that Guiu gets the time to learn the trade. He’s got good attitude and attributes, he’s just 18 so he’ll learn from the mistakes he makes.

Agreed. Why the month long pantomime when they were told the score from day 1. There was better out there, cheaper as well. Ended up empty handed again.

Nah we have plenty of options. Felix and Nkunku can play as strikers.

Don’t wanna be too harsh on the lad as like you say he’s only 18, but seems a bit of a donkey in front of goal.

Sorry I’m calling bull sh*t on this one.  No way are we travel over to offer him 70k a week after all this negotiating.  I know we’re not going to give him Raheem money but I assumed as a marquee signing he’d be up there if not the top of the wages.  No way we’re offering him that bonuses or not.
