May 23, 20251 yr I rate the guy but he's going to go wherever pays him the most money, Mikel can go on about how Osimhen loves Chelsea and all we have to do is make a phone call etc, but at the end of the day he wants to make as much money as possible, I suspect even if if we matched Napoli's wage and a Saudi club offered him an extra £50k a week he'd take that.

Let’s be honest the contract we put before him in the summer was insulting, I personally would have blocked the club’s number. Everyone knows he is on €22m gross which is about €10m net at Napoli. Offering him €4m net in wages, €4m in performance bonuses, and €2m tied to CL qualification is just wild. I am glad they have come out early this year and said they are only going after players that fit in with £150k/w wage ceiling. That discounts Isak, Osimhen, Gyokeres and most likely Sesko who is currently on about £95k/w at Leipzig. That leaves Delap, Ekitike and any other CF at the bottom of the barrel. We surely aren’t getting a 20 league scorer.

If he was an elite footballer he's be staying in Europe and have clubs lining up for him.
May 31, 20251 yr This was done for Osimhen yesterday in their last game of the season. It is fantastic. Nice touch.

He may be a good striker, but if he wants to play at an elite level, he has to lower his wage demands. If he doesn't, then clubs will be like "oh well, off to Saudi you go then" and they will move on to somebody else.

Don't get me wrong the players need never do another thing, and a lot of the players are nearing the end of their careers anyway but the increase in the profile of the Saudi league has not yet occurred and a number of players are now out of the limelight, possibly never to return. But, of course, you can't deny them the bag, it's life changing of course.

May 31, 20251 yr This one has always struck me as an obvious failure if he comes here. Don't know why. But I can just easily see him being sh*t for us.

June 1, 20251 yr If we sign another first team striker it will be that Ekitike guy from Frankfurt, not either of the Victor's in my opinion.
June 4, 20251 yr This is Aguero part 2 but worse as we don't have a Drogba.Guaranteed if he goes to Arsenal or Utd he will score many goals whilst we waste 100s of millions on average striker after average striker.
June 4, 20251 yr Sometimes the best signings are the ones you don’t make. So happy we’ve managed to avoid this Lukaku regen.

June 5, 20251 yr Mikel's been talking bo**ocks. Osimhen's always been about money, last summer he had a falling out with Napoli because they couldn't agree to a deal with Saudis. Now it's back on.He never seriously considered Chelsea, let's be honest. There are a lot of things I dislike about our current management but this one isn't on them. If he was going to another European top club, that's a different story. The man is 26, is one of the highest rated strikers and in his prime he is joining Al-Hilal. That's his choice and it's difficult not to be seduced by that kind of money. Move on.
June 9, 20251 yr Al-Hilal move is OFF.Osimhen agreed a deal with Al Hilal, then he came back and asked for more money 😂 Understandably Al Hilal told him to f*ck off. The man is a nutcase, we need to stay away. Edited June 9, 20251 yr by dansubrosa
June 9, 20251 yr So glad this bloke is never going to wear Chelsea Blue. He's not worthy and sounds like a right greedy ****.

He wants to stay in Europe. Edited June 9, 20251 yr by Car123
June 9, 20251 yr Unfortunate situation really, for him. Seemingly wants to stay in Europe but his most likely destination would be Turkey (if they can afford the £63m release clause), yet playing in their league.. he might as well be in Saudi, aside from the odd champions league game until they get knocked out. Should have just stayed loyal to Napoli, could have been a champion, could have been playing in the champions league, could have been a real legend somewhere, now he’s just another drifter. At least they were smart to renew his contract, hopefully someone pays the release clause and Conte can re strengthen with the money.
