I'm at the stage where I was at the end of Lampard's reign where I'm past caring about the results in the next couple of games. 

What I want from this and Newcastle is positive tactical performances that gives me some encouragement Potter could be the man longer term, if we lose both the way we lost say the Super Cup vs Liverpool I'd be reasonably content.

 

If Potter does not give players like Hutchinson a go here then a fair few of us will be like this for the game:

In all honestly, I prefer to lose here and win against Newcastle.

The opposite result wouldn't be as reassuring as to return with a huge win in the league against a team that is by all means going to push for a very high finish this season. Let Man City to battle for the quadruple as they might fall in due time, but win against Newcastle.

I agree, though if I had to pick only 1 of them I would pick a win against Newcastle right now.

Would you settle for losing both?

Both teams will send out their back up players, maybe a fun game to watch, Won't be judging the results, just no more injuries for god sake.

Lots of unhappy supporters. Don’t expect us to win but we will play our fringe and so will they. I don’t think our guys aren’t worth watching., nor do I think they are aren’t trying. RLC is not quite up to it maybe, Silva is old blah blah but we are who we are. I look forward to the games. Bunch of fair weather sailors on this forum.

Can't wait for next season to start and see what the transfer window brings in. Can't get any worse at the moment can it? Shambles team selection, shambles on the pitch, shambles in the treatment room. I'm even having the piss taken out of me from Fulham, Arsenal and Spurs fans at work...let alone the boisterous Millwall fan every morning...sick of it.   

Don't really care much for the rest of the season. The only thing we can hope for is that the WC stops the momentum that the likes of Arsenal / City and one or two others have had and we have a decent Jan transfer window.  

As for tonight..let the kids play, we aren't winning this or any other competition this season if things remain the same.

Agree with @Sexyfootball on a Pulisic and Zakiria start! Would play Mendy though if Kepa is still out!

Anyone that ends in a non embarrassing match for us I would class as a successful evening.

Most importantly Broja starting up top! I think City could put out their U12s and smash us at the minute   so there’s f**k all to lose!

City will no doubt rest some players but their reserves are pretty impressive too. Hoping we can give another start to Zakaria and some of our younger players. The game on Saturday is more important so we shouldn't risk any key first team players.
