That sequence from some 5 minutes ago where Mount keeps possession in a tricky area, switches the side to Dave and the ball somehow goes all the way to Mendy...

We clearly have no attack, nobody to switch the play to the opposition half and to organize an attack that would result in a shot on target.

This is a long term project with Potter and it will take at least 2 full seasons to first rebuild the squad and then to make it work.

Hall finally back into defensive position after Silva gave him an earful.

I dont care that were not loosing…what worries me more is that we look so disjointed and its amongst the worst football ive ever seen Chelsea play. Only so long the players will keep on trying when there’s no apparent method or style.

Agreed. I was under no impression it would take time for Potter to implement  his system, TT got us more than we deserved with this squad, but we’re going backwards!

Will never understand why we have to setup with a back 3 when we have the players to play a back 4. It’s the reason why there are gaps in the middle of the park, knockoff effect is the forwards have no service. It’s like we are more worried about stopping our opponent than punishing them than going forward.

Ever since we started playing this weird formation, our forward players have gone to sh*t. Surely it isn’t a coincidence.

This is making Sarriball look like Barcelona 08-09 tiki taka

i dunno what is it , but normal steady players just not performing.

I thought the ball from Mount was the wrong ball to play. Azpilicueta had nobody near him, the ball should have been played short.

Can see no pattern at all. Mount, Gallagher and Kovacic totally non existent. So with no midfield and being generally appalling at set pieces what else is there other than hoping for a gift
