I'd start him ahead of Enzo personally, but Enzo saves himself by coming up with a goal and assist when performing poorly.

Maybe others might score more if Emzo wasn't so ineffective for 88 minutes. Santos has more than proved he deserves a run in the team ahead of Enxo.

Not sure why you'd play him over Enzo, if nothing else the Pedro/Delap combo hasn't done well, move Enzo up to the 10 and Pedro to the 9 and play Santos over Delap

Wouldn't argue with that either. Pedro' Delap and Enzo all below par. None of them could complain about being benched

The issue then becomes how do you fit Estevao into the team, as I can't see Maresca benching Neto or Garnacho.

It's a nice issue to have, especially given that's without Cole Palmer. I think Garnacho, Estevao and Neto are all top players, so whichever combination starts, with the other coming off the bench is good with me. Palmer has to be our number 10 when back, I would be inclined to start Enzo there until then and Santos alongside Caicedo, once again though when Palmer is back it becomes a difficult question who is dropped. But it does give us good rotation options. I feel a bit for Lavia, because he is also an outstanding player that won't get a look in.

Any manager consistently choosing either of them over Estevao is an idiot.

Completely agree. James at RB, and Fofana at RCB - that just seems to work.
Who would you go on LW and Striker? I'd be tempted to throw Neto LW, but debatable with Garnacho.

Oh my boy, how good it is to see this kid growing more and more on Europe. I remember when i said to you guys about him. I saw this boy playing many U15 U16 U17 and 18 at Vasco, this boy is amazing, very very good player, smart, technical, now with a new mentality, body, he easily will become a monster CM, this boy deserves more and more always, very good person as well, i know his cousin and some friends.

Shine my boy, you deserve all of this.

Should be starting every week but the manager would rather play his Argentinian boyfriend.

Enzo Fernandez? 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Its kind of crazy Enzo Fernandez playing at Chelsea to be honest, normal player, i don't know why Chelsea made this move

Not really.

Sometimes, when reading the Enzo thread after a game, it paints a completely different picture of how he actually played!

He has literally won us games, but the thread will tell you he had a shocker!

I still think some are offended by the Argie Bus sing-song, and that's fine, but there is no point in changing the reality of the games he plays well in over it.

I thought that against Barcelona, he was excellent. Against Burnley, woeful, the goal will mask how poor he was in that game. Against Wolves, very good, but against Sunderland, rubbish.

We don't see enough of the Enzo we saw against Barcelona. Most of the time we see a very leggy player who seems to be constantly fighting to stay in possession and gets visibly tired around the 70th minute mark.

Well said. Consistently does the hard yards. Often more ground covered than any of the other players.

He is a moments play, never constantly influences games. He has this knack for popping up with goals after a poor performance, which masks the lack of control we have a “big” team when you stick him in the middle. When he is shifted into the “10” he can’t create because he isn’t instinctive, but needs to see everything before making the right pass.

Think it’s interesting Maresca never plays Enzo deep in the big games, he did earlier in the season against Utd and we lost. Moved him into a “10” role against Bayern, and shifted Palmer to the RW, and we lost again.

Would be interesting to see what Maresca does now he has Palmer fit, and in the long term when he has everyone fit. He can’t keep benching Estevao to shift Palmer to the RW, to accommodate Enzo as a “10”.

Indeed! He's a good player for sure.

And he's IMO a big game player. We've had quite a few of those in the past: David Luiz and Alonso were the obvious ones. Would play like sh*t in a league game and then Motm in the CL. It is just not that uncommon tbh. It goes into mentality, physicality, etc. Hard to predict, so we always get surprised one way or another.

Of course our fav Eden would go missing in CL more often than not, but we don't talk about that...
